Smell that?
RSS just happens to mean 'smell' in the shadow tongue. Now it's fixed! Big thanks to Vector for pinpointing the RSS problem for me, and Mr. Man whose link to feedburner.com was very helpful.
Go right ahead and subscribe to the Woodenblog now and each update will come to you directly without the need to come here and check! Just think, when I announce the release of Waterlollies, the news will come direct to your feed reader immediately.
You can subscribe by clicking on the RSS icon (
). Firefox users will see this icon in the address bar at the top of this window. I still don't know much about RSS so please feel free to make suggestions or corrections in the comments on this post.
Having signed up with feedburner.com I can now post this cool headline animator anywhere I can post HTML.
Click the bit that says "Grab this Headline Animator' if you'd like to display my headline animator on your site. I'd be very grateful and it's just like linking to biteycastle.com, only taking it a little bit further :D
Waterlollies - word of the year.
Parts A and B are now fully complete. Music, sound, actionscript, everything! Not far to go now. After sensing a little negativity re: the wait for Waterlollies, I started a poll on the Brackenwood forum. I was slightly surprised, but very relieved at the (almost unanimous) result. Click here to see.
ToonBoom rocks!
It took me about a week to get into using ToonBoom Digital Pro, but omgwtfbbqbusinesscard! Bernard Derriman and I are working together on a freelance project for television. Using ToonBoom I'm gobsmacked daily by what the program can do. I only wish I could show some of it here, but perhaps soon I'll do a short Brackenwood test and post it on the WoodenBlog.
Again, I will probably never abandon Flash because I'll be maintaining Bitey Castle and making web shorts for years to come. I've got a list of ideas here for the next 30 shorts project :)
One to watch
Aside from being Brackenwood's official number 1 fan, Nathan Viney is a talented writer of randomness and oddity. In twenty years time, they'll be showing the following video on those "before they were famous" TV shows:
The Daily Crumb, 7 days: Cat Vomit, Have a laugh and Sports report
Thanks for reading, watching, subscribing to and supporting me.
Until next time when, who knows? It may be the big announcement.
Love from Phillips!

First! Heh, and also, no hard feelings here on the delay. We all know how much effort you put into yor animations, and we all know its worth it. Daily Crumb was pretty funny. And I'm really excited to see a toon boom test if that motivates you at all. I'm supposed to learn toon boom in college next year and I'd love to see what its capable of in yours and bernard's hands. Keep amazing us.
That's great news about the RSS, Adam! You're on my list now. :)
Good to hear that things are progressing and stuff,
hooray for ... stuff... :p
A working RSS feed! Fantastic, saves me worrying that I'm not up to date with the updates.
I have to say, it's not very moral that you even considered cutting your baby in half!
On a serious note, I'm so pleased you will be releasing it as a whole movie, it will be so much better to see it in all its glory in one sitting (I only hope my fairly Jurassic computer can cope with it in Flash form).
If Waterlollies is your next blog update, I hope everything goes as expected and that your server can cope with the insane demand that will be put on it. Keep well.
Is WL out!?
DAMN!
not yet!
Just checking....
That's whats goes on on my mind everytime i check the site...
I'll know that when is out it will be totally worth it!

I dunno about the rest of you guys, but I think it's update time. ;) Hehe.
bwah this is torture^^
Hey, man, congrats to your winning the People's Choice. And don't worry about the "Waterlollies". I know that's a lot of hard work. Still can't wait to watch it, though. But still, take your time. Great things can't be rushed, you know.
And the best of luck with Toon Boom. I know nothing about it. But it seems like a fun thing to tinker with.
Maybe I should get into animation...nah, I can't draw a snowball in Hades. Heh, heh.
Keep up the good work, man.

SO EXCITED.
Hi Adam,
I don't mind waiting at all, cos i know it'll be worth it if its even half as good as your other brackenwood vids. Hey any chance of a full length feature film after this? :P haha jokes, but that would be sweet. Maybe you should send it to pixar or disney :D I'm sure they'd be interested - i reckon this is QUALITY stuff.
Looking forward to it,
Cheers!
p.s. Any chance of some more desktop images? (i really like the waterlollies one with the white dude in the water and the yuyu with the moon)
