F A Q

Who found all the secrets?

I'm afraid that nobody found all the secrets, and so there is no
prize-winner unfortunately. I will update this page very soon with
the complete list of secrets and screenshots.

How long did it take you to make 'littleFoot'?

  • it has been in production for over two years, but the actual time taken
is around 14 weeks. 90% of the animation itself
was crammed into the 4 weeks of October 2005.

When is part 2 coming?

  • I'm aiming to have "Waterlollies" done by March 2006

What programs did you use to make this movie?

Did you have any help?

The graphics, animation, music and story are completely my own work, but
actionscript and programming are not my strengths, so I call on
some very generous friends to help me out with that stuff. People who
help me out on a movie are always listed in the end credits.

What's all this about a "vCam"?

  • The virtual camera for Flash is a component created by Actionscript legend
Sham Bhangal. The camera basically makes camera moves quicker
and easier to create. In Flash, you simply move the vCam around the scene
like a viewfinder, and it programmatically does the rest of the work for you!

I've used it all through 'Prowlies' and 'littleFoot' and Sham is my hero.
It's easy to use and it's free (if you get it from Sham, that is).
Keep an eye on Sham's blog for updates to the vCam, currently v2.

Where do you get your sound effects?

  • Usually I buy mine online from Sound Effects Library.
  • I also use my microphone, lips and nose to create my own.
