So yeah, I really have to force myself to spend more time on drawing, so I thought a sketchbook with (I hope) lots of comments will get me motivated more Wink

Too busy with my study lately.  rolleyes

These are two WIPs (will probably stay that way, as I rarely ever finish my projects -_-' ) for the 34th WDA, first one is the initial design which I quite like as far as concept goes, pose is a bit lame but yeah. Second one is my attempt at a better pose and with a little colour experimentation. Fyi, the little critter's pulling some mountain "grass" out of the ground, but I have a little problem with getting the tension of the pull across in his body (first time ever I drew a goat-like animal rolleyes). The grass is actually more like an animal, in the sense that it actively defends itself, so that's why the "Mountain Patriarch" has a predator-like head and teeth, even though he has a mountain goat's legs.

Yay finally a new thingy which I'm actually proud of. It's a wip for this weeks WDA. Sketched digitally in SketchBookPro, shaded and added effects in PS.

Reviews are always welcome Cheesy

Final for that WDA:

Even though I wanted to do more to make it more applicable to the WDA I couldn't come up with anything. I still think it's really cool though Cheesy.

And here's some sketches I made when I was bored, I asked a friend to name something for me to draw and I would draw it in ~15 minutes, so these are all 15 minutes each:

Cat licking harbles:

Cthulhu:

Hot girl (he asked for it, but I couldn't help misinterpreting on purpose ^^ ):

Hand proportions are wonky but ah well.

like the hand!:)

I'm not rly sure what style you're going for, but the selfportrait seems a bit too stiff.. maybe if you try using small sized brush on scetch, and go for a larger when filling in colors, and maybe try adding some more texture, folds and shadows... use a bit more time on the face too.. but as said, I don't rly know what style your going for

keep on coming with more good stuff:)

Thanks for the reply Cheesy

And yeah it was just a quick sketch because I felt like drawing myself Tongue

I really like sketchbook for its realistic pencil but unfortunately the other brushes don't work as well (at least not for me) and I don't like that it makes you work at 100% from the beginning (I prefer making a big document in PS, working at 25% when laying out the drawing and zooming in for details).

It's been a while. I have been busy during the holidays and before that. Not so much busy... but I lacked motivation/inspiration/time. I'm planning on picking up my drawing this uni year, and here is the first sketch I made towards that end.

If you can't see (it's still a sketch and the setting is somewhat unusual), it's a mix of scifi and fantasy; a science-fiction dragonslayer. He is carrying a semiautomatic hand-flakcannon, the design of which I'm also going to work out in detail (if my motivation and inspiration let me).

I hope you guys will leave me some comments and any critics are very welcome Smiley

Also, a couple of weeks ago I have discovered the awesome breakcore artist Venetian Snares. Specifically the album "Rossz Csillag Alatt Született" is very cool, I can advise it to everyone. The beat may be a bit chaotic at first (that's breakcore for ya Tongue) but it has a great ambience.

I made a drawing (which didn't really look good imho) then copied the layer a couple of times... applied a different threshold to each one and then gave each one a different colour.

Made a quick doodle of a face, thought it was funny so decided to post it on here.
