Mars: The Shadow War

Yes.....this is another RP to contribute to my obsession with Mars.

Story: Mars; a great world. The residents of this planet have control of eight elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Metal, Air, Sound, Electricity, and Darkness. But...a rouge from within the Martian Empire took control of the southern part of mars, breaking off, creating the southern empire. The king of mars, king Asterion, was killed in the first year of the war, about two years ago during the siege of the palace. A new palace was built in the Northern hemisphere and one of the twin princes, Jex and Runose, was named king. jex gave up his post as king, wanting to enjoy himself for longer. Runose became king of mars, and Jex joined the North army.  Now, the other side. The rouge was a man named Snyzal, a high-ranking councilman. He wanted power, but was denied control of any part of mars. so, he formulated a plan that lasted 14 years, in that time he had a son, who rejected his name and renamed himself "Zero". Soon, the plan was in place, and the Snyzal and Zero gathered followers. They took control of the south in a bloody battle that lasted 15 weeks. in that battle, Asterion was killed. The remaining soldiers protected the north without question, preventing any takeover. Two years after the war began, it reached a bloody height, Drafting into both armies, except....the Southern army has soldiers made of shadows as well as real soldiers.


Ok, here's the rules:
1. standard RP rules. No spam, flaming, bashing, etc.
2.Humans are not allowed. martians only. no gods, elves, cat-people, etc
3. guns are permitted, but you cannot have unlimited ammo laser guns or anything like that.
4. YOUR OWN CHARACTERS PLEASE! no modified versions of characters from any form of media.
5.you will be banned from this RP for breaking these rules.

Jex stood at the entrance to the palace, he was waiting for his personal guard to arrive so he was protected. he had dafted himself for war. his fingertips cackled with electricity, he wanted to kill some Shadow-born scum. he waneted to do that soo badly...he then hears marching, and he signals the guard to stop, "you ready for the war?" jex asks, smirking.

Backstory: years ago when his parents died he emotionally fell apart and became quite delusional. he thinks very highly of himself (in an unhealthy way). he also thinks he should be worshiped. cannot be trusted. angered easily. Fire revives him. simple minded fool.

"Heh heh heh. Jex. you stand no chance against me and my army of darkness." Fenix said unto the wind. An army of dark soldiers stood behind him emotionless and waiting. "You've taken your break, lets raid the north palace! they will never know it's coming!" he said with an evil grin on his face.

"Sir. the southern army is closer then we expected. they are about 2 miles south east of our location. I still believe Jex has the upper hand, no living soldiers were spotted." said an allied spy to a northern official. "He believes he has the element of surprise. shall i order the archers to guard the palace, sir?"

Weapon: 7 bladed rings, each named after one of the seven deadly sins (chakrams).

Backstory: He and his father rule southern mars with an iron fist. Zero has a slight sanity disorder, well, not very slight actually. received a scar from jex when he was 6.

Zero sat upon his throne, messing around with the shadows. he threw a chakram in the air, and made the shadows make it have spikes. "Ah, it looks like gluttony needs sharpening" he says to himself, studying one of his chakrams as the one he threw embedded itself into the ground. a soldier suddenly burst into the room, "SIR! we just lost 6 squads to a hail of arrows from the north" the soldier said, Zero glared at him, "Replace hem. tell their families the news and then send the corpses to the lab, Mutret needs to test out something." Zero commands, the soldiers bows and walks out of the room.

"The palace is within view!" fenix yelled. "you cannot be seen! run through the shadows. I will find jex and kill him. HAIL ZERO!"
"HAIL ZERO!" the crowd echoed.

"Jex, there are unnatural shadows in the distance, it may be the army. It appears to be lead by either Zero himself or fenix. I can't be sure." The man ran back to his post. "Good luck" he said silently.

jex smirked, "PYROS! IGNITE THE TRAPS! jex yells out, and a maze of flames appears, revealing those who hide in the shadows, "GUNMAN! ARCHERS! READY, AIM!" he commands, "FEMANCERS (iron elementals)! READY THE SPIKES!" jex commands again, small, sharp studs appeared in the ground, the tips of giant spikes, "LONG RANGE UNITS! FIRE!" jex yells out, and a hail of arrows descends upon the giant, flaming, maze-like, spikey trap. the flames had revealed the hiding places of the soldiers. "SEND OUT THE BUGS!" jex yelles, and giant spiky fleas came out of hidden places i the ground, "SURPRISE!" jex yells out.



Zero watched as Mutret performed an experiment on a corpse of a dead soldier, "lets see here....a little cut there, fangs grow here venom coes out there" muret says to himself, Zero gets angry, "What in Umbriot's name are you creating?" Zero questions, and Mutret steps back from the now mutilated corpse to face Zero, "you wanted mutants, right?" the mad scientist asks, he seemed more insae than Zero. A whole lot more insane. "Yes, I did. but WHAT IN THE GODS' NAMES IS THAT!" Zero yells angrily, pointing at the bleeding, gutted, mutilated corpse, "I'm giving you a bug soldier. YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, LOOK AT THE PLAN!" Mutret yelles, handing Zero a piece of paper with a crappy drawing od a stick-figure with 4 arms, what looked like antenna, and wings on it, "YOU IMBECILE!" Zero yells, and Mutret starts laughing madly, "OH HOHOHOHOHO don't like it? TOO BAD" He yells back at zero,he then smiled and said "you wanna fired duck?" clearly, mutret was a madman.

Fenix threw a bomb infront of him and hit it. "WE HAVE A SPY! SPREAD OUT-" the bomb hit the arrows in mid air and destroyed a large quantity of them. his army was being slaughtered. fenix ran forward straight for jex. something tugged at his leg. a spike had barely missed his leg and caught his pants. "FIRE THE CATAPULTS!" figures rose from the ground with black cannon balls. "FOOT SOLDIER RETREAT AND FLANK THE CASTLE!! ARCHERS FIRE!" he looked behind him, most of his soldiers were turning to dust.

The arrows weren't hitting many people on the northern palace. The archers were too far away. Nemancers we destroying the cannon balls before they reached anywhere deadly. about 30 dog-like shadows reached jex' army.
fenix bombed as many torches as possible until he learned that the flames would only grow bigger. he looked at his skin. black dots everywhere. "What the?" He new in only fifteen minutes his army would be wiped out. "I AM A GOD!" fenix yelled in his delusion,"YOU CANNOT KILL ME!" The dogs killed a small part of the northern army before the bugs ate the flesh of of them. 'AAAAHHH!!! YOU IDIOTS! FULL RETREAT! FULL RETREAT!'

The army echoed his order.
The Southern army had been almost wiped out.

"SIR! SIR! [speaking to jex] The army is going back to there palace, from being a part of there army i know there defenses go unbelievably down when they return. Shall we follow them?" said another allied spy.

"Don't follow." jex orders, looking as the spikes retracted into the ground, the flames were put out, and the bugs rounded up.
