My Brackenwood co-writer, Ryan O'Loughlin, was head of story on this project. I gotta say it looks really cool:

Looks pretty cool. It'll be a while off still. Is the 999 thing a reference to Satan?

Here's another place to view it (the apple site wasn't loading up the trailers for some reason)

Or a reference to the emergency phone number in the UK?

I plan on seeing this in theaters. Smiley

What would 999 even mean if it were a Satanic reference?  "This movie is 1.5 times more evil than Satan"?
I guess they've only got three years for interesting number/date sequences before they have to wait for February 22, 2022.

Looks fantastic!  I'm incredibly excited for this movie.  The color and set design looks brilliant, and the characters look fleshed out compared to their short counterparts.

The music in the trailer feels inappropriately...  hollywood?  The music in the 9 short was quite dark and stylized.  I understand that the average audience member is kind of a plain jane and needs certain expectations met by trailers to go see the movie, but I'll be very sad if the movie was mainstreamed so much that it lost that heavy, brooding music that makes you scared for your life.

I also tought the music was a strange choice for a feature animation, I guess they're doing it trying to lure more teenagers and young adults.

Its Tim Burton's hand at work making the backgrounds and character, but you have a guy fom the movie Wanted working on it.  If your looking for another Nightmare or Corpse Bride, your not going to find it here.  It'll be a good movie, but nothing like Burton's other works.

I remember watching the short film this is based off of. Who could have known it would get the attention of Tim Burton himself!

Also, Burton is producing, not directing. He has little creative say in the final product. Can't wait to see it in full.

I doubt that the music used in the trailer will be the same as will be used in the feature.. mainly because the very first piece of music is from 'Silent Shout' by The Knife (one of my favourite bands at the moment). If they want darkness in their music, I don't think they can go far wrong with The Knife.. hope they can use more of it in the feature.

Pickapok, I think you're right.

I saw a short animation of this in the animation show a few years back.
