speedpainting meetup?

hey people i was thinking that maybe we can organize a brackenwood speedpainting meetup...

on msn or so or on bw in the illustration activity section,
i dont really care how but my idea was to meet up for an hour or two, once or twice a week, then quickly choose some topics, maybe we do it like people just throw in some random words and you have totake 3 of them and combine them or we have a specific topic we can take...
and then do some speedpaintings with 15-30 minutes each, then the pics will be sent to me or if we do it on bw they will be posted and in the end i will put them together in 1 post
time can be discussed the days before since we have a lot of people from different time zones itll be hard to pick the right one for everyone but if somebody misses it coz of the time he get the advantage the next time ^^

so tell me what u guys think...

if there are people interested i could start the first one this week already...

Perhaps we should get the OC jam up again aswell (there's this program called hamachi that's supposed to allow hosting from behind a router).

I'dd like to participate as long as school isn't kicking my ass to much.

Id really only be in if we could get it sorted so that we all draw together, if you think there's a way to get the oc sharing functions back that would be great

thats what i was planning to do...that we all meet together at a certain time and draw then...
or do you mean like oc on one and the same canvas?

@rubber: i looked for that hamachi program, it seems to be like a network program, i first thoght it would be a drawing program ^^ but you have to forward some ports on the router nonetheless

i like the oc idea too but then we draw on one canvas, eh?

Hmmm are you sure, when I set it up it didn't ask for port forwarding. I haven't tried using OC with it yet tough, but it's just the thing people seem to use hamachi for.

yeah i c but then we all need the same version of oc...i mean there is oc2.0 too isnt it?

plus coordinating everything via msn would be a good thing too i think...so we can share the ip and stuff...but im a noob to those network things

Anyway, I really like the speedpainting idea. But I would enjoy drawing on the same canvas even more. We should do both!

u mean with the oc session? well in the speedpainting thing everyone can join since we just share the pics in the end... on the oc thing im not sure, will try some things out with the network and hamachi settings, i have no clue if those work on mac

okay it seems like hamachi and oc are working together nicely

if somebody wants to start a session you can notify me via msn or so and then ill give you the connection informations


the hamachi server im using is:

Name: OC-Katatafisch
pw: iwannadraw

since the oc ip is different everytime im starting a new one i think it makes more sense to wait if someone is there who wants to join...strangely i can only set it up for 4 people at the same time

okay people i found out how to run hamachi and an oc session

the hamachi network access is in the previous post

now if  there are people who really want the oc session one of the people in the network starts an oc session as usual then gives the others his hamachi ip
then the others go to client and type the ip in there, add their username and then hit the button and voila!!!

Does it work with just the hamachi ip? If it works the way I think it could be. Tough when we did it we both connected to eachother with hamachi and used the ip the OC network gave us.
I'll probably be online tomorrow evening, unless something comes up. My MSN is *edited out msn, i'm getting too much spammers* (ignore the name, I made that when I was 14 or so )
