Hey all! Im back from a long rusty visit. I've been bowlin lately so i haven't really been getting on much. Oh well, thats nothing to worry about. Here are some sketches I whipped up for the day!  Grin

I was bored at a restruant. So I grabbed my sisters crayons and messed around with them. Don't worry, she didn't mind it  Wink

Nice stuff, the sketches are well done. Perhaps take them a step further and ink them.

About the apple, it's not bad but like allot of people that start drawing fruits digitally it's oversaturated. The red has a unnatural glare to it. If you desaturate it with 15% or so the form will read better.
Next time you do an apple from life try to really get the colours down accurate, you need to try to see a colour seperate from the colours that suround it to get it right. If you look closely you'll also notice that the colours can never be that saturated, there's usually allot of grey and neutral colours in real life.

Thanks for the comments Pie. I really appreciated them, some more comments from others would be nice as well.

I agree about the apple. I just noticed that the shadow is saturated(when it shouldn't), plus the saturation on the apple is a little too much, not ALOT, but a little bit. Also, I just learned that if i'm going to attract posters, I need to give my pictures some appeal, like, not just A apple, but why not a background? A table to surface the apple and a flower pot  would be nice and so would some texture. In real life, anything looked closely is going to have some sort of texture on it. I tried my hardest on the leaf, but I don't like the way it came out. It looks really dull and same with the stick on the apple. Some tips on the texturing leaves would be nice the stick could use some effort.

To put it in perspective, a little more into the painting would be helpful so why not spend more time and not worry about anything else(except homework and etc.) until it's done.?
