When loops form it is unclear which direction the lines go - i.e rmtr (permission) is exactly the same as rtmr (heatedly). Chulaid what should we do?

PS. they are septiglyphs not septaglyphs because septi is the lattin root, if you want an 'a' sound you must use hepta which is the greek. Septa actualy means partition.

Jesus Christ, relax, don't expect a fix right away, I've posted about missing words ages ago and haven't received an answer, so don't think you can get an answer within 14 minutes. gah!

Hmm, I think the septaglyph page is outdated, because I seem to remember a way to prevent this that isn't in there.

Basically you can just not connect the lines meeting at r, in this example.

I hope the pic is clear, it was a quick sketch.

You don't join up when returning to the starting syllable, as PlasticCup has demonstrated.
PS. They're called Septaglyphs because that's what I named them. Sarus doesn't have Greek or Latin roots.

Even if the word's roots were from latin or greek, the "root" in the word does not have to have the same spelling as the latin or greek root. Many words change some letters in order to make the word sound better, or just because it makes sense to change a letter. For example: The word procrastinate comes from the latin words pro(for), cras(tomorrow), and teneo(hold). Note however, that the ending is spelled "tinate" and not "tenate", or even just that the word does not end in "eo". There are many more examples I could point out, but I don't have the time Wink
