I don't think I've shown this to you?
Posted a few screenshots a year back or something, but never the film itself if I remember correctly.
Anyway, this is my final film for school. The teachers had extremely low expectations, because animation was in the school program for the first time ever. I actually whipped this one up in about 12 hours. No sound, no real plot, hardly aesthetic.

<a href="http://i2.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/elehpant/finale.flv" target="_blank">http://i2.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/elehpant/finale.flv</a>

The story follows a banjo-playing bear Pierre and a chain-smoking owl Fernando trapped on an island surrounded my mutant-anchovis in a parallel universe far from our's...
"Why are we here?" the owl asks.
"Waiting for Godot," Pierre replies. He also notes that they are trapped because of the evil fish.

Then some aliens come along and offer the two a ride.
In the saucer, Pierre notices they are going in the wrong direction (no clue how he figured that one out)
and realizes the seemingly kind aliens are actually a race of those evil mutant fish...
The warning at the end says you should stay away from unknown alien spaceships.

End

I though it was quite awsome, the illustration look was kinda weird but it looked really cool. Considering you did this all in 12 hours it seemed great. The Story was very....odd. Haha.

Ha, thanks.
Don't think anyone has ever used the words "weird" and "strange" to describe my work. I'm very flattered.

Fun fact: The only place I had the audience laughing was the reference to Godot.
Otherwise they were either snorting or cracking smiles, patiently waiting for something really cool to happen. Art fags.

well i always enjoy your artwork, though this particular project does tend to make one wonder what substances were smoked/snorted/injected during the conception stages. I particularly love the hilariously revolting, milk spewing.....nazi-creature-thing

Heinrich, your stuff is so visually strong it freaks me out a bit.
You've heard me rave before, so I won't do it again, but get your ass into a hard-core art/illustration school, one that will push you to fulfill the style you're developing. It's awesome. You've got the goods, kid Wink

Holy crap! You say you whipped this up in TWELVE HOURS?! I liked the color tone in the beginning, all tans and browns with high contrast characters. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Kib. Someday I will!

Before I went WEEN and worked the whole night (last 12 hours) to make the deadline, I was stuck with the first scene for a couple of days, because I couldn't make up a story to save my life.

Fun fact: It only features a bit more than 3 seconds of animation. Grin
