Ever since i first came past your Brackenwood work i have been dying to ask you about your knowledge behind building your forest scenes.

I have a lot of trouble with drawing simple and cartoony yet convincing looking trees. Not only that but trying to give the sense of being in a thick forest is something i have trouble designing as well. If You or anyone have tips on lighting/shading/contrast/ giving the effect of being in a thick forest than please, share. This would help me out greatly! I am sure there are others who are interested as well.

For now, here is an Ms Paint picture i did to replicate a shot in one of the Brackenwood animations. See if you can guess it.

Adam's already made a page about his background creation process, and fortunately I have it bookmarked:  Grin
http://www.biteycastle.com/artwork/biteyMovie/b003_constr.htm

He's posted and said more about his process on the old forums, but you'd have to muck around the archives, and those date back between 2004 and 2005.
