Im sad to see that all the old posts are now gone. I was kind of hoping it would be a storage to my work for when i needed them for my portfolio of course it has to happen that my computer crashes during the period when the forums change so i dont get to save any of those previous images ..... guess it starts again from here Sad

They're not gone.. revisit the old forum and you'll find everything the way you left it.
Anyway, using a forum as your only form of backup isn't a very good idea IMO. Burn to disc, backup to a second drive, send to your gmail account, whatever.. but if a forum goes down (especially if you're not the owner of the forum), you have little-to-no control over your own portfolio.

I've been updating people's post-count and join date as they migrate over here, so I've just done yours. If you want to re-post your sketchbook here, I can give you edit powers back on the old forum which will allow you to copy & paste the code. PM me if that's what you want to do.

Thanks Adam. Its probably what ill want to end up doing. I save all of my large projects to disk it just that i had alot of various little things that i didnt have saved from various compatitions and such on the forums that i would have like to have had. Could someone throw me the link to the old forums? It was lost when my computer crashed.

Deuce- I have some various activities brewing in the mind .. about 10 peices as of right now ... 7 that are of a series of various mushrooms. Three landscapes that are in sketch form. Oh and right before my computer crashed i was working on a WoW like character to send into various card companys like magic the gathering to see if i couldnt get any work.

As for a side project im writing a 30ish page short story and a friend of mine who has like a recording studio in his basement (doctor parents) is making a whole soundtrack to go along with it and im going to be reading/ singing various parts. It should be really fun and neat. Hopefully you will all get the option of hearing it in the near future. Of course ill be working to continue to make cash up i have just reached an amount that i belive i can start my own website going here soon.

AW man why did you have to say spray paint
I mostly love graffiti writing, kinda the culture in urban cities
trying to get around spraying down and making stencils and splatter effects.

YOU TEASE ME,  hope to see some of your vends :3

Lol your right i should practice so i dont get rusty. Wait check this out its the start of my new peice. Sneak peak for my forum buddies!!

Lol sorry im pritty happy with how the peice is looking all together.
Yeah dood spray paint is awsome stencils are fun i have made some sweet ones for shirts and excited to have ps again to do more even though it just helps me to have image contrast.

On another note i sold one of my large posters for 60$ ... i was at a art/yard sale and the chick that bought it saw it up when i had my cafe feature for the month of april and she wanted to get it but the next time she came back it was gone so horray i sold a poster of my work! It was the one with the mushroom home (A place of peace) that i spent like a month on!

Well let me know what you guys think!

I love the colors man! the water is great. The only critique I have is even though I love how its rendered, I think the tree in the foreground is really out of place. It distracts quite a bit from the rest of the piece.

Also, what is that thing lying in the grass in the bottom left?

Hey dude, nice work.

Here is a little crit on this latest piece. First thing that i noticed is the lack of contrast, the foreground and background should be at different values to help push them away from one another, i think you may have heard this one before though. Also how you placed the tree isn't really adding to the image,

Also push the perspective, everything is very close, there is no sense of scale. I pushed back the waterfall for this, but I'm sure you can do a better job than i did. Also you can add more saturation to the part of the image that you want more attention on. Don't go overboard but it can be a nice technique.

Hope i helped.

I see what your saying muzz but that wasnt really how i wanted my light source coming in. I kinda wanted it looking as if the sun was going down threw a ton of foliage. I dunno I appreciate the crits but im going to stick with what i got. Also i have the peice done so here you all go i hope you enjoy. Im very satisfied with how it came out. Took me about 60-70 hours to finish the whole peice and theirs plenty of detail. Duece those are mushrooms.
