I think you should make a picture book. Not like, "I Spy" or anything, but a story told through illustrations. You have the ability to make great pictures seemingly on a whim, and you could easily make money off of it.

Bummmp

Relym- That would be pritty neat. It could be a cool pitch type thing. I could do like 3 or 4 pages and pitch it to a company that does books and such and see if they would pay me to finish it. I know there are writers that do that.

There certainly are.

You know, I'd pay pretty good money for a book full of these. They're so colorful and detailed that even if they didn't tell a story, it would be worth purchasing. Throw in a plot and, hell, you've got something awesome brewing.

Cheesy That would be pritty neat!! Thats the kind of thing I would enjoy after I snaged a job. Spending my working hours doing stuff for some game or something and my off time creating a story!

Heres my new painting sorry its been a while guys. Stupid ass computer crashed and then after reinstall got a virus 2 days later so had to reinstall. I need a mac really badly. So its a sci fi which Ive never done story below.

So make up your own story but I kinda imagined this being a future poaching type scene. I imagined some distant planet of corprate ass holes collecting exotic species. Almost like a trophy. Throwing lavish partys to show off all the exotic species. This is why the ship I picture being so high tech. Clearly these people are geting paid good money to collect the creatures. The simple fact is this creature is just another living being. It deserves to live a normal free life. Like all animals do. But the human ego has become so out of wack and out of tuned with nature we forget these things. So this creature will become the eye candy of the foolish.

There's an awesome basis for a story. As the species become extinct, they have to keep going deeper into the ecosystem, and then something huge and scary comes out and kills them. >Cheesy

I second this statement. I would spend money to have a book of your art (among many others on this forum) for me to display proudly in my home.

These all look great, and I agree with the others about a book. Did you ever see a copy of the Katurran Odyssey? It's no longer in print, but it had a great story that was that much better because of the high quality, imaginative paintings used to illustrate it. Good for another dose of inspiration, maybe? I believe Terryl Whitlatch did all of them.

Is that a monkey wearing a fez and riding an ankylosaur? That is officially on the top ten most badass paintings I've seen.

Lol, they have another on the site showing a bazaar with one of the critters lounging and smoking a hookah. Grin

Seriously though Raven, a story with your paintings illustrating them could support a rich story indeed. Wink

Thanks for the support you guys. That katurran book looks sweet. Im going to have to search images about that. Maybe some day Ill make a book like that. I dont feel at my level I could right now. Maybe after this next year of anatomy studying then maybe I could get something sweet together.

Here is my sketchbook over on Conceptart.org I forgot to upload the Images here and to much. Just sketchs .. basic beginer anatomy proportions poses. If you so decide. http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=194107

Looking good.

Though you still have the problem with weird edges that still irks me.

Actually i think i know what it is now, you never cap off shape edges with value you just cut it straight off. It flattens forms and makes things appear angular and also fucks with a viewers focus. You are a good painter generally, but this is killing your work! Stop making such hard edges!

Look at the pole on the right. Why is it so sharp that is barley has any antialiasing on the pixels? and where is the value shift along the edge to imply it being a cylinder?

I think ive mentioned this to you before but it fell upon deaf ears it seems.

How much still life have you done? I think that some rigorous training in still life could break the habit.
