So I just recently did a little reading to understand what Project Myst is, because it's intriguing  Tongue. I'd be interested in doing something for it too, however I'm not exactly clear on what.. it is. My take on it was that it's a project where people can make their own Brackenwood character and make an animation or game that displays the character heading for a "special place" where they all will congregate in the final animation.

I don't know if it's too late to join, or even if I have a good enough understanding of the project to join. Let me know what you guys think.

Character design for next game in progress.

Soooooooooo. It's been awhile since I've been in here, and looking through all of it again, I actually feel inspired to keep going.  Aside from designing a game, an animation series, and school/work, I think I'll be working on this some more.  I'll have about 3 weeks before school start again, so I'm hoping the free time I have will be equally distributed throughout each of my projects.

Hope everyone is still in on this and I want to apologize for nearly dropping due to lack of motivation and stressful school.

Let's keep this alive! Bingbong

So, so aside from running through 27 pages (because the first one gave me a hint, but there's text vomited everywhere and I find it difficult to keep track), I thought I'd ask what's going on here.

So far, the way I understand it, there are several groups of people teaming up to either create an animation of a fan tribute character (which also must suit the actual BrackenWood Series) or a game of a tribute character.

I noticed someone was mentioning making a Stick Figure, and then I thought 'Wait, if it's brackenwood characters, why are you dragging sticks into this?'.

I also read that the character has to be travelling to a certain destination. What destination is this? By that I mean weather, time of day, location.... goal.

Also; is it compulsory to work in groups?

Because this looks interesting, and I want to be a part of it (I've got a character design in mind) but I'm a bit confused...

So: What exactly do we have to animate our character doing? Be specific, please...

I'll go back to TRYING to read through this topic, and hopefully get a better grasp of whatever the heck is going on.

My last post which is only a couple up summarizes it pretty good.

My take on it was that it's a project where people can make their own Brackenwood character and make an animation or game that displays the character heading for a "special place" where they all will congregate in the final animation.

I suggest you visit GrayK's website to round up more details, but you make your own character based on your interpretations from Brackenwood, then in a given setting, animate your character in their natural Brackenwood environment (could me desert, thick jungle, mountains, etc...website has details), and then have your character travel to a special place where a final animation will bring everyones character together. In a nutshell.

I could be missing things, but I think that's the idea. Plus my classes are over by the end of this week so I'd be up for getting into this a little bit.

Alright then... so does GrayK's website tell us what environment our character has to start out in or can we choose our own environment and have the character go to their for some reason of their own...

I might end up PM'ing GrayK telling him my idea and how I could get around to producing it.

Try visiting his site, then hit up the Members/Environments section to see what I'm saying. Everyone's trying to be diverse too, so I think it's recommended you pick an original location that hasn't been taken yet.

Yea, I already checked that... I don't think mine has been taken yet.

I'll pm Gray about it...

OH, and with the special place being in the forest... will there be something visible in that general area that attracts all the creatures?

Like a bright glowing star in the sky directly above the 'special place' which makes the characters go towards it? 'Cos it makes no sense them just saying 'Hey, I'mma go to the woods and coincedentally find a house' and... yeah.

I will add you but I would like to be sure that you want to join so all you gotta do is confirm your in and your added.
The reason they are heading into the "special Place" is entirely up to you you have to prepare a story and send it to me in a PM and I will post it on the site, Brettamatowski is also a manager of the site in case you need help and I've been absent for a few days. Oh yeah I would also like to know which flash version you will be using. thank you all for your interest hope you enjoy being part of the team.

Ok, I could fill out the form but I feel I would be more elaborate here... I'm going to fill it out, anyway.

The reason why I asked WHY they are going is because I don't want to put in some reason (like there's a powerful glow emitting from the forest), and I'm the only one who animates that while everyone else's has no glow. So it might be a good idea that everyone is aware of eachother's physical and visible alarms.

I am using flash 8 and my setting will be within a lake next to the forest. I still have to come up with storyboards or atleast what's gonna happen in mine but... that's for sure where it'll be set.

Actually, I'd like to change my setting. Pretty much a River connected to a lake (Lake/River). It's still gonna be near a forest but... the river might have a huge part of it.

Oh, and there may be another participant.

Motivation for all you slackers.

And no, this isn't my main character. My character WOULD have a design, but it would look almost exactly like Torterra from Pokemon.... so nothing yet.

I do have a story for how mine is going to go.

Only if I can use Bitey and Bigbong, though...
