Has anyone came across an error that makes a colored picture in flash do this?  http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/5/20/2449658/senor.JPG

When I try to select something within the one frame this is all drawn in, this happens:  http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/5/20/2449658/senour.JPG

In fact when I open this file up, in flash I see the completed drawing yet the colors(which I colored in) are all missing as you can see...yet I have some of the colors spaced out like a bar glitch of some kind.  The parts of the drawing that arent seen in either photo cannot be selected at all.  When I try an error message pops up and flash has to shut down.

Can anyone please give me some advice as to how to correct this?  Ive been using flash for years and never have seen such a thing.  Thanks.

That which you have seen can never be unseen.

Flash cs4?
That looks to be a big bad bug to me. No clue here unfortunately, I've never seen that before!  Undecided

If you're using Flash CS4, make sure you updated to 10.0.2 (Help > Updates). I've never seen that kind of bug but the update fixed a truckload of strangeness and instability. Unfortunately there are still one or two little nasties that pop up from time to time.

I've had that happen back in Flash 8.  There's not much you can do, as that particular part is corrupted.  If you don't have any older versions saved, you'll probably need to redo the entire thing.   Next time, make sure to use layers.  I think the problem comes up with too much vector data being placed on a single frame of one layer.

Thank you and thank you all.  I have been troubleshooting and found a reasonable way of salvaging.  What I did was I used the onion skin and it showed me the whole picture(unlike when the onion skin is off) and so I was able to trace the picture.  I figured the error might happen again especially because I used the same frame(containing the remaining parts) as to save time tracing.  I published before I did anything that might trigger the glitch and then sure enough THE GLITCH CAME AGAIN.

This is an ugly glitch...Im actually using Flash 5 though but Ive never seen this.  I agree it may be too many vectors...too much drawing.  This is the biggest picture I've drawn and I did alot of sketching which Flash seems to hate.  Thank you again...I feel the solution is using layers and drawing smaller drawings(or using many layers to make up for increased size).

Im saving a copy of the file and deleting the frame...if anyone finds a way to restore the file please message me(I like to save my drawings so they can be edited).
