I loved the stuff in the first link.   real fluid animation and the perspective of the clown character was real nice.

I really liked the fish. there is one point that the fish is above the castle and it come to a complete stop.
Instead of stopping you may want it to just ever so slightly keep moving in that direction.

Great work!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the comments c: there alot of things I would have liked in the fish one, but I guess I can learn a lesson from it the next time I want to animate a fish c:

I guess I can post any small animaiton I make here instead of making a whole new topic for different small animations lol.

this is a walk cycle of a turtle, did the initial key frames by hand and then imported to flash... came out with a really nice result!

You have such a fun animation style!  It's a treat to watch you grow.

If you aspire to work for a big studio, pour 110% of your effort into one piece.  In can be short - 10 seconds or so - but try to incorporate acting, weight, arcs, consistency.  It's clear that you have skill, and you know the principles of animation, but you must demonstrate that you can do entry-level studio work.  A lot of these exercises could supplement a reel, but you really really need to finish out a piece.

I'll keep tabs on this thread.  Keep drawing.   Wink

thanks for the comments c: I've allready caught the attention of an animator who used to work on feature films like "The secret of nimh" and apparently a richard williams film but I dont think they mentioned the title of the film they worked on. I'm also going to be working along side them on projects as soon as they finish working on their studio so Improving myself further is a top priority for me as I dont want to let myself down when I start working with them. I honestly vow to get to disney standard one day and I still have plenty of years left to achieve this... unless something happens to my right arm :C!. At the same time as feeling I have to practice all the time I also have to start thinking about making some money with animation, otherwise I'll run out of cash, I heard Guru.com is a good site to get work so I'll probably sign onto that soon.

I Added some more to the toy car animation today which includes a rather swish scene where I tried to make the car look 3d using 2d animation.. very difficult stuff. but I feel I pulled it off really well. I also have been working on the Rat 2 animation which I'm still trying to get finished and I know itll be worth it.
