I am not an animal.

« on: July 18, 2009, 02:46:47 PM »

Got a condenser mic, a mixer and a tube preamp! I'm the process of recording a few songs. I have a few gigs lined up in a few months. I decided I need a stage name and have chosen the moniker Snowball Earth. I really wanna to get a 3 or 4 songs finished and burned to CD to sell or give away before I start playing in public (which I've never done and I'm EXTRA MEGA nervous Embarrassed).

Anyway, I'll be posting most, if not all my songs here for you guys to listen to or download or criticize or whatever you wanna do!

Here's one little I wrote and recorded today just to be silly. It's an anthem of sorts, about second chances an smiles  Smiley
Smile And Laugh!

I'll probably start a myspace profile when I get more material recorded, so I'll post that link whenever it gets done.

Thanks so much guys  Smiley

Although this isn't Snowball Earth music, its still partly by me. My brother and I have a myspace music profile for our electronic hiphop group called The Lion's Roar.

Deuce! Man if there was one thing I knew, it was that after basic training I'd come back to Brackenwood and you'd have more great songs on here for me to listen to  Grin. I gotta say I really enjoyed Grandfather, You Were I Was The Ocean, and especially Sleepy Head. I want to put those on my iPod next to Mixdown, if that's cool with you. Good to hear more of your stuff, man. You should consider putting out a CD.

edit: Did you happen to finish that full version of Mixdown by chance? I think you called it Seasick. Was hoping I could hear it if you're done.  Smiley

Thanks for the kind words man! Unfortunately I switched computers recently and lost the audio files for seasick, but I've been meaning to get around re-recording it. I'm working on some writing some stuff right now, so hopefully I'll have new stuff soon! I'll post some more experiments soon too.

Holy crap! This stuff is wicked.

You have an amazing sense of atmosphere, and I adore the glitch beats, you have a clear talent here. All I can think is I'de love to hear some melodic vocals, I listened to your earlier stuff and your voice has a slightly Ben Gibbard vibe to it.

Are you a fan of postal service, death cab for cutie, or owl city? I can see a similar streak of those sounds in your music. Keep it up!
