Well, this isn't so much a sketchbook, more like a deposit for the odd drawing I may do.

I'm not studying Art at the moment, I briefly did at college but haven't touched it since. So don't expect anatomical masterpieces, as I haven't attended a figure drawing class ever Cheesy

The reason I've set this up today, is because I've rediscovered that I enjoy drawing, particularly when it comes to drawing caricatures of friends Tongue

Let's stop the blabber and start the pictures!

Ok ok, not the most favourite bear in the world, but the original image I referenced had my friend standing next to a giant bear and I had to replace it with something relatively funny Tongue

Nah I didn't find it that great either, ok moving on:

This was made to look...gimpish. It's a play on his surname, which I'm not going to disclose Cheesy

Well there's the first two, hopefully my next ventures will be less personal, and more entertaining Smiley
Let me know what you think!

Illustrator or Flash? I think they look like vector drawings. I really like the bear. That guy with the studded leather looks better than the other guy although it's a little hardcore for my taste. Nice tones on Studds.

Yea they are indeed vector, I'm into smooth lines at the moment Smiley and it's Flash btw.

I'd just like to clarify, before you all think I'm into crazy things... that these were merely 15 minute jobs that are basically taking the piss out of whoever I drew.

So no, I'm not into gimp stuff, nor am I gay, it was just messing around Cheesy

Hopefully these two will be filtered out by new art I do soon!

Decided to move away from vector, and into photoshop for some more traditional looking painting:

I like the concept, and the execution as well. Nicely done!  Grin

A crit on your Bear picture however. The mixture of fat lines on the bear as opposed to the very fine lines of the portrait I find distracting to a large extent. The portraits themselves are very good however, especially being as they were done in Flash. Good work!

Very fair point, it's distracting me now Tongue Thanks for the crit, i'll be sure to not do that again!

I've decided to go away and make more inanimate objects that loathe their life, so expect some more screaming objects soon! Tongue

Edit: Thought I'd throw up some concept designs I've created recently for Project Myst (the brackenwood collab)

Oh here's a WIP of a new inanimate object being tortured by it's role in life Tongue

Double post, whoopsie! But the previous one is quite old now so...

A couple of WDA entries I've done. I love the idea of weekly drawings, not only does it give you a theme to spur ideas, but also the deadline keeps you motivated Smiley
I'm certainly going to keep involved with them when I can, I don't draw so much, so it'd be nice to keep progressing.

Looking back at the Zeus one, I don't particularly like it so much as it isn't what I originally intended to draw, but i'm quite pleased with how the Viking turned out.

I'm also involved with a heated sketch battle with Brakken over yonder: http://www.biteycastle.com/smf/index.php/topic,1785.0.html
It's great fun! Although my latest one I was working on got corrupted, so it may be delayed for a while Sad

That's it for now I think!

As always, please crit if you can, I'm all for it!

Here's a comic strip that I made for my new website.

Sorry for slapping the HAT logo all over it, I'm struggling to generate traffic for my website Tongue

I'm hoping to have a new one every week up on there, working on one at the moment.

Feel free to comment/crit etc!

P.S- It kinda works better on the website, because you only see the first 3 frames before having to click to reveal the final one, but oh well Smiley
