Hey guys, I was wondering how you all code in actionscript while not at your "home base" computer.  I have a little laptop I would like to carry around to code whenever I please, but it cannot handle running flash CS3 with all fo its bells and whistles.  I was wondering if anyone knew a way of extracting the adobe text editor, with its syntax checker, for use without the rest of the overhead of the program?  I know that there are highlight bundles for programs like Notepad++ which can help you read and organize the code, but what I really crave is the syntax checker that lists off all of the errors in your code.  Maybe someone has made a little stand alone text editor for this?

Not exactly sure if this is what you are after or not, but i have heard of standalone actionscript compilers that can work independantly of flash. Ive never tried any of them before and don't know how well they work, but you should just be able to type code in there, save it as a class file, and load it into AS3. I doub't you will have any way of testing the code untill you get to your main computer though Smiley

yeah, I am not looking for actually testing the code, but I have a little netbook with a 1.4Ghz processor I would like to code on, and then just make sure I get everything syntactically correct.
