A project that I and an artist are working on is getting bigger and bigger, and while the artist agrees that the thing is improving as the scope increases, I want to make it a bit easier for him without detracting from the enjoyment of the project.

For example, there is this emotional conversation late in the second half where I thought a way to save time without cutting corners would be to have all the shots drawn in it be reaction shots from the speaking character's POV, since by this point we would know the characters' voices and know it's not the one on screen thinking.

I don't think I need to go into artsy reasons for that, but do you think if you saw something like that, it would take you out of it and you would just think "Oh, they just didn't want to do lip sync" or not?
