I have decided to make one of these. I'll start with stuff I've drawn this year:

Here is one I just finished last night:

"Dinosaur Dan lives on some crazy planet with weird blobs growing out of the ground. This took me about 3 days to paint. Going for a storybook look."

Really cool concepts.
I'd say work on your fundamentals in painting though. Value, tone, color.

Value, tone, color.

Also anatomy.  The frog's arms are bothering me quite a bit, but the background is pretty nice [edit] even to the point that it doesn't match everything in the forground in regards to style..

Holy crap that frog's arms are messed up! I didn't really notice it until now. I do much better with reference images to look at and a pencil, I always screw up my lines when I use a computer to draw the initial sketch. I am so lazy that I probably wont fix that frog. But he really does suck. And as for value, tone, color... I am clueless. Any good reading material on the subject? Thanks.

I thought I'd post this rough draft of my latest painting. I want to get everyone's feedback so I can fix it up before calling it finished.
