Thanks to Ravenseye for letting me host the next one.  Smiley

Deadline
6 December 2009

This week's topic is "UFO Abduction"

Everyone knows the classic depiction of a UFO abduction; the bright beam of light comes down and pulls whatever object it envelopes into the ship. This WDA will require you to illustrate a UFO abduction taking place. Now the beam of light is tried and true, but there are many other creative ways you can have a UFO utilize to abduct something. Maybe a robotic arm, red-hot burning laser beam, or a huge vacuum cleaner?! Also, the UFO doesn't have to be abducting just a human  Wink.

You can have one entry.
The picture format can maximum be 1000x1000 or less.
When the deadline is over a vote will be raised for you to vote for your favorite entry, I'm not the judge here, everyone is.
CLEARLY DESIGNATE YOUR FINAL, if not you may not be taken to the voting.
Please save your entry as, for example. "yourname_wda52.jpg".
Don't use old drawings, and use more then 15 minutes on the picture  Tongue

Have a lot of fun with this topic, enjoy!

Oh one more thing as well: I live in Alaska, so the deadline for this WDA is based in my time zone, which is behind pretty much every other time zone.

The Aliens flash freezes the humans they want to abduct. Then in order for them to transport them to their ship, they turn them into liquids.  Liquids that through the abduction beam allows the tissue memory of the human body to be stored.

50 min sketch, dont add this to the vote.

Does anyone know when the next one is going to start? Or are they on hiatus until after the holidays?

I guess I could start another one but this week is finals week for me. I didn't get to make an illustration for this one so I don't think I'd have much a chance to do one on the next if I started the new WDA now. If Travis doesn't start it by this weekend I'll get another one going.  Smiley

Head up, the next one will be better. I plan on doing something (traditionally) myself. Smiley   *edit* When I say better I mean participation wise not topical as this topic looked quite fun, I just had no time due to work.
