Save a plant, eat a vegetarian

I have to leave in a couple minutes, so I'll make this quick.

The autumn frame seems off to me, the way you have it brown at the base of the mountain and green at the top. Typically vegetation will cease to grow the higher altitude of the mountain (although I can't tell how high you intend this particular mountain to be), and that green you have says vegetation to me. You're on the right track though, the colors are correct and give that 'fall' feel.
And the spring frame looks a little strange also. The flowers add too much detail to the frame, I feel. Like if you go to your summer frame, for example, and look at how basic everything appears. There are large blocks of general colors that sum up the mountain. Then the spring frame comes and you get to see every little flower...it feels like it clashes with the original image. Unless you plan to add more detail anyways (because I'm not sure what you are planning on using this for), then that would be fine.

The winter frame is definitely my favorite (go figure)  Grin

Thanks for that. I started to think the same about the autumn one....

I made it greener towards the top because (and this is my logic), the dead leaves would be falling down the hills towards the bottom of the mountain. So all the dead leaves would eventually be blown down, which is why I made the bottom browner. I'll change it so that the top is brown as well (but not too brown...).

As for the flowers, GAHH!!! I don't know how else to make it look like spring aside from blooming flowers! Once again, they're not at the top because I'd assume they grow less at higher altitudes (even none). If anyone else has any tips on how to make the mountain look like spring, feel free to tell.

As for the summer on, the basic mountain... I know it's not highly detailed but I'd take that as a good thing. Keep in mind it was made 100% with the line tool, so drawing every curve took hours...
But yeah. I think the summer one looks 'Summer-ry' enough, right?

And everyone's favourite is the winter one. It's like, the only one I was proud of.

Dude, putting one big tree in the foreground could be your remedy. Think about it, it'd work perfectly.

The tree would be in full bloom in the summer, all green leaves filling it up entirely. In the fall the leaves would change to gold and auburn and be a little sparse, showing signs of each branch. The winter would have it completely devoid of leaves, maybe a little snow topping the branches, you know. And in the spring the tree would be budding, so the branches would still be pretty bare but the little green, budding leaves would be a clear indicator.

That's just the far-off distance of the mountain. There's going to be things in front of it. I river, stone bridge, forest... and I guess it's a bit of a valley for the river to be in. Along with the main character and that...

And I've always been assuming that Spring has the most flowers. Summer just having everything rich and green.

I'm making the introduction animation to our schools performance this year.

That's the start of how it's going to go.

Excuse the massive file size, I used tonnes of images and set the sound to the highest quality (it's 6 mb)

That's pretty sweet dude. Aaron Simpson goes well with it too.  Smiley

Not much I can say critique-wise. That was a crisp animation, you're pretty creative with something as simple as text.

Aaron Simpson? The music in Pendulum.

Anyway, thanks for that... I haven't touched it recently because I've been working on something a bit more important:

The beginning of my next flash
Maybe I'm killing it with the attention to the glare (notice how it makes the grass closest to the camera get darker and lighter when the butterfly is in the way).

Now all I have to do is get my tablet working so I can begin the ACTUAL animation.

So, TELL!

Oh, and I'll need a title... It won't be mentioned anywhere in the flash (well, actually it could...) but it may be nice if I have one.

Been a while. THERE WILL BE ANIMATION POSTED SO JUST HOLD ON A SEC

Clearly I'm not frequenting this forum. My bad. Thought I'd let you know.

Secondly, that animation featuring that butterfly and the mountain is dead. Flash ruined by night by completely removing about half a minute of gruelling animation that took me a week, so I missed the deadline (when I already had an extension) and gave up. Not a huge loss, though. The animation looked TERRIBLE; no, I am not just saying it. It was disgusting, rough and bare.

Finally, my next short animation:

I uploaded that Power and problem animation to Newgrounds, and it did fantastically for what it was. It inspired me to quickly make a new short but it's taking MUCH longer than it needs, but oh well.

Catch a glimpse here: http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1278087085

Atleast this project is turning out how I wanted. I've got a fair mix of cut-out animation and frame by frame. This is much closer to my limit as an animator compared to my other projects.

So, feedback would be great!

P.S. It appears that for some people (not many, but some), it doesn't work when it loads. It use to happen to me but stopped all of a sudden. If this is the case for you, I'm sorry, I can't help you.
