Looks like you've made significant improvement over the years. The illustration 2nd from the bottom is especially nice.
As far as critiques go, I can't say much just because I'm still a beginner in drawing. But as you post more and more, I'll make some suggestions. Good work so far.

Thanks for the comment. My big problem lately is that I can't seem to get started with a new picture. Apart from having some kind of serious artist block for the past couple of months, whenever I try to begin something new, I already get lost in the starting phase where it's all only rough and half-transparent forms, and then I get frustrated and just delete the whole thing. So new stuff will prolly be rare, not that anyone's interested in it yet :]

Just focus on something else then. Draw from life, learn a new medium, do abstract compositions, practice color mixing, learn animal anatomy, play with clay. The list is endless. I found that artist block is less likely to happen when you draw on a daily basis, for me anyway. Oh and nice pics, I really like the landscapes.

Ahh, as soon as I don't have to go to school for a couple of days, it flows again! I need to get out of that place already, heh. Playing around with character ideas just in case I finally get around doing some kind of bigger project, like a comic. I'd like that. And a new landscape's on the way, but I don't know how fast I'll continue working on it. It's been sitting around as a WIP for two weeks now x_x

And another one Not sure if I'd even use him. I've had the idea for this character more than three years ago and only recently realised that he's basically a mixture of Shaun, Rocky and Max

I really like the newer picture you have put up. I just wish I could see his feet. I really like how different the roundness of his head opposes the straight lines of the rest of his body! I really makes his head stand out, especially with the pinstripes on his shirt. The other guy though isn't as interesting as Joe. His proportions are to normal and could be much more interesting if you vary the sizes of the. Say the head is 1, body 2, and legs are 3. Your guy is a 123 guy which is fairly straight forward. If you switched it up to 312 or 231 it might get more interesting. Then if you through in the arms as 4 and the hair as 5 and even the hands and feet as 6 and 7 you could come up with some wicked combinations. I'm not saying that you should use math systems to draw different characters but you should try and vary the sizes and proportions of everything so it's not simply just 123456 etc... Spice it up. Following are some really quick sketches I did to show you what I mean by varying sizes. You don't have to use them or anything I said but I would like to see some more 'pushed' character designs with crazy porportions and sizes so you don't get stuck just drawing the "norm" porportions and don't push outside the boundaries. Keep it up and can't wait to see more of your stuff!!

Thanks for the comment! I can see what you mean. Originally I had intended the comic (if it ever actually becomes one) to be relatively normal, anatomy-wise, with Joe being the exception as he stems from another dimension (yes, I know. his story is pretty craptastic, but it looked good in my head back when I first created his concept three years ago). Then again, I can't do realistic anatomy worth shit anyway and the comic might really get more interesting if I made the whole thing more cartoony. I'll doodle around and see if I like the idea.

You don't have to go "cartoony" with the anatomy, people i real life are all different proportions that make them unique. I think if you find some good proportions in a very simplistic shape then try and keep that feel to the character while bringing it back to more realistic proportions it might give it a more unique look. Look at weird looking people that stand out in crowds or just people that stand out but are still good looking. You'd be surprised of the different types of people that are real!

Posting this unfinished thing, cause it's been resting on my hard drive for three weeks and I'm unsure if I'll ever finish it. Too bad I don't really feel like working on bigger pics nowadays. Seemed like it started off nicely.

Seemed like it started off nicely. A while back me Espen and Max were doing collabs, we'dd take turns on an image. If you send me the original file I'dd like to play around with it!
