So sorry to hear about losing your animations Sad
The turtle looks great as does the jumping kid.

Only, there's a frame in there that sticks out funny to me. The one where his bent knee is head-on with the camera, his leg turns into a strange blue circle. I think it would flow better if you added just a tiny bit of shoe at the bottom of the circle, that way, even though the leg completely changes shape, our brain still has a link to what the shape is supposed to be.

I'm sorry, I'm not good at animation-speak, I hope that made sense.  Grin

~Edit~

Ok, now that I go back and watch it again, I understand about the knee coming forward in perspective - which would cover the foot   Smiley

I don't have any animations yet, but I have ideas. I also have Flash and Toon Boom - so, we'll see what happens with that.

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to give them a look. They're just practices to get my animating juices going again after nearly 4ish months of not animating at all... But hey! I'm trying to get back into it, especially being the animator/designer for Serverus Games.

Here's another study, no reference but to be used as my own when, yes, that's right, I'll be animating some of my story "The Fate of Jace and Jillian".

Anyways, enjoy!

Sure! I love looking at animations that people have done Smiley
I hear you on the "animating juices". I seriously need to start messing around in Toon Boom. I have no idea why I'm procrastinating. I don't have anything going on - like an awesome animation/design job - congratulations on that Smiley

Nice rotating head shot - is only some of your story being animated due to lack of free time?

Well, technically it's not a paying job (EDIT: Besides Newgrounds revenue, still not much at all). Me and a few other guys on here creating a three-man developing company (Code/Art/Audio), but we love creating games that everyone enjoys playing.

That, and I haven't even written the majority of it yet. I'm thinking of making an animated graphic novel? Thoughts?

Shoot, I'm in the exact same boat Smiley
I'm undecided on how I want to present mine, but I am leaning toward the animated graphic novel. I've been looking into the A.G.N.'s and I think it's a good idea. You don't have to spend a massive amount of time doing full-on animation and you don't need voice actors(unless you want them) I'm going to have too many characters to do that - I'd have a serious payroll going on haha

I think the A.G.N.'s work well for action type stories, but not so much for a story type where there wasn't much big movement and a large amount of dialogue. Like a short story of 2 people sitting at a table, having a discussion over coffee - I don't think I'd read/watch that one.  Tongue

Have you studied anything on storyboarding?
If not, it's a very helpful subject that teaches you what kind of shots work best in the right situation/scenes - it works for both movie/animation and comic format.

I have a sort of prologue posted in the Wordsmith sub forums on here. It's more of a concept story, along the lines that I write most of my lyrics which create the story, but I want to make an action packed Graphic Novel.  And what better way to do it than with animation!

We'll see the trajectory. Hopefully it'll take flight rather smoothly. Fingers crossed.

Oh nooooooo. I really suck at maintaining my threads. And I also feel bad for not frequenting (posting; I still visit daily) the forum as much as I used to. Anyways, here's a little something I did last night out of boredom. Still need to fix a bit up, just a wip.
