Gray rolled fitfully in his sleep, his expression changing from anger to fright.
He was in the war again. Intel was his job, and he was sneaking around the enemies base, the stealth camo did most of the work for him. As he passed by a group of guards, he noticed he was on particularly creaky wood, and took his steps lightly. As he moved silently across the floor, Gray couldn't help but let out a snicker. The closest officer stiffened and turned around, Gray might as well have crapped his pants from how scared he was that he was noticed. "Just stay calm... no one can see you in the camo if you just keep it still...", he told himself, allowing the officer to stroll nearby. He said something in a dialect Gray didn't know, causing the other officers to turn around curiously and begin to grip their guns, Gray new things were going to get bad if something didn't happen. The officers were beginning to stand up, surely they couldn't see him? They seemed to be staring dead on to where he was, the paranoia was killing him as he kept completely still. The officers got closer and closer, peering curiously around the area and keeping weapons at the ready. The officer that had first heard him began looking to the left and right to Gray's relief, the suit must be working. Then, disaster struck. Gray could feel it coming, the helmet was air tight, it was almost impossible for something to get in, but it did. He could start to feel the tingling in his nose, the faint itching about the upper half, and Gray tried to hold it in as best as he could. The officers had begun to stroll away from him, just a few more seconds and he would have been fine. But a few more seconds was not what Gray recieved, instead he alarmed everybody in the room with a big, loud sneeze that resounded off of the walls. "Shit." was all he could say as he pulled out his katana to slice the first soldier across the stomach. The men began to fire wildy while gray shimmered in and out of visibility from his katana slices. As Gray cut down the second to last man, the other pulled out his radio and started screaming frantically, the next thing he knew the entire alarm system of the compound was going off. Not good. Enraged, Gray thrust his katana into the final soldier and started to make a break for it. The place would soon be overflowing with guards and he would be doomed to face them all. He could here the stamping noise of boots coming around a corner so Gray started to sprint down the hallway... only to double over an oddly placed cardboard box. Gray crawled back into a corner and the group of men passed him without incident so he ran from the direction they came from. He winded down numerous passageways but it seemed wherever he went the sound of footsteps kept following him. Sliding to a stop as he went around another corner, Gray stopped dead in his tracks as a high ranked officer was walking up towards him. The officer came closer casually, but then as he neared he wide smile grew on his face as he pulled out a pistol and fired directly at Gray. Though he moved as fast as he could, Gray took the bullet to his left shoulder and was shocked at the fact the officer could see him. he smacked the gun out of the enemies hand and made a run for it down the hallway, now leaving a trail of blood behind him. Reaching the other side, a group of soldiers stared direct at him and raised their guns to fire, but missed from Gray running into a nearby doorway. Something had gone horrible wrong, the armymen could see Gray somehow and he was already injured. He turned around to find a way out of the small room he was in but realized that is was a storage closet. The footsteps got closer and louder as the armymen reached the closet; Gray could hear the officer from earlier ordering the men to do something, and they soon started to batter down the door. Gray clenched his katana, he knew the end was nearing and the only thing he could do was go down with a fight. As the door started to creak open and the light showed through, Gray could see the officer wearing the same wide grin as earlier. Gray screamed in rage as he charged into the bright room outside, and at the same time gained conciousness of his body. He was still hallucinating from the mysterious stranger's dust and looked around the room in fear to see all of the others. Instead of being his friends and allies, they were all the soldiers from his horrible dream. Gray turned to his left to see Sam dead in front of him, but it wasn't Sam, it was the maniacle officer from his horrid nightmare. Raising his katana high, he let out a monstrous shreik and charged at Samuel, dead set on cleaving the officer in two.

~*Sam jumped out of the way.*~ "...ironic how I'm awake yet I'm still living my nightmare..." ~*Acting fast, he opened a Rift underneath himself which lead back to the Inn. There, he could die as many times as he wanted facing this opponent.*~ "This is just like when I had to hunt down Zack..."

The yawning chasm grew before her eyes as Velvet, half out of her mind, stared into the abiss. She stood, the thin branch beneath her bending dangerously from the sudden shift. The wind picked up, blowing wildly all around, the clowds turned black and crudled overhead, breaking and showering the remaining adventurers with a hard and violent freezing rain. Back arched, arms outstreached, and wings thrust wide open Velvet began to laugh. A chilling, screaching, manicly laugh that was almost crying. Lightning flashed, the earth below became mud and water and the leaves where torn from the trees under the force of the rain. Eyes shifting from white to red, screaching into the void that was her own private hell, Velvet at last felt all those years spent in gentle oblivion. She felt the fabric pull and strain as her own restlesness had brought her to create a world, the stars, a universe. Folly, she had been given eternal contentment and had spat upon it and now what was left was the whole she had created and all the filth and mess that had fallen into it. Her mind undone, she let her muscles relax... and tumbled to the floor below, her wing feathers now heavy as led and hard as iron.

Hero had suddenly noticed the fact how he was still in his disturbing nightmare though, he was in fact awake. Horrible ghosts and corpses of the people who he couldn't save were standing in front of him, tormenting him and simply asking 'why?...why did you leave us to die?' He then saw his parents standing before his eyes, ''You were such a good boy...why? Why would you have done this too us..?'' His Mother cried, while his father comforted her in his arms, ''Look what you've done, you made your mother cry, why would you do this this to us? All your friends are failing here, and it's all your fault!'' with this, his parents living bodies rotted and decayed before his eyes. At this point, all he could see was the faces of everyone who he wasn't able to save, all he could hear was the sound of blood curdling screams and the constant questioning from them asking 'why?' Hero was going insane, he was screaming and shouting, he was nervously backing away until suddenly he slipped, and fell from the tree, and with a sickening thud, he hit the ground and blacked out. The rain was hitting his cold, lifeless body as he lay there...
(Sorry if that was kind of insane, or if you don't get what just happened ^^; he's not dead by the way, lol)

(ONWARD! this is a difficult situation to get out of)
Velvet's body hit the rising swell of the water bellow, and was dragged down by her wings. As she sank, the water began to wash away the dirt and dust, and the spell that had caused these crushing nightmares was cleaned from her skin by the raging waters. Here eyes snapped open, now back to their usual purple and filled with panic. Kicking desperatly for the surface, Velvet managed to swm against the current and get back to the tree. The storm was still swirling wildly and lashing the trees with rain, drenching the other adventurers.climbing back up the tree, because her wings were too soaked to fly, Velvet watched the madness continue to unfold.

"...so ironic...." ~*Sam dodged another swipe, and lashed out with his staff again, the *CRACK* sound resounding throughout the lobby of the Inn as he brought it down upon Gray Fox.*~
