Apparently you've got two pretty good references to Western culture (I certainly know that I am, I don't know about Airy for sure). If you ever decide to place the story in the Sonoran desert, just hit me up.
But not so hard, I got bruises from last time.

Excellent! Some time I may plug you both for information, or have you review some stuff (if I ever get around to writing)

Meet Scraps. He's a side character in a story I've been mulling over for a while, and being a side character, I naturally adore him. The story is set in the future, when most of the world is barren. This tale is set in one city that is in an especially polluted and decrepit area, pretty much nothing grows. The 'community' there is made up of the city itself, a vast and highly technical society that thrives on a booming trade in prosthetics and cosmetic surgery. surrounding the city proper, where all the rich and powerful people live, is a huge, looming wall. Outside of that are the slums. This is where the workers live. They work manual labour, mostly in warehouses organizing imports and exports. Despite being vital work for the survival of the city, the workers in the slums are paid minimal amounts, and live in very poor conditions. Safety codes are apparently nowhere near up to scratch, because missing limbs are common. prosthetic limbs in the slums are functional at best. I'll talk more about plots and other characters later. Scraps was born to a reasonably well-off family in the city. Now, within the city beauty and perfection is everything. He was brought up to be as perfect as possible. But one day, at the age of about eight, he was attacked by a dog, which tore into his left leg. His lower leg became infected, and he had to have it removed. His parents, though well off, were unable to pay for a synthetic leg for him, and so he was cast out of the family and as such out of the city. He was given one cheep, heavy, clunky synthetic limb before being sent out into slums. He spends much of his life trying to find food and scrap metal in order to keep the thing running. None of the main characters really interact with Scraps, and unfortunately he dies during the story. but he's my favorite character and I adore him. If I could, I would pick him up and cuddle him and take him home with me.

Thank you so much. ^^ Do you like Scraps? I think he's cute but no one has commented on him yet.
Airy left because we called her out for lying to everyone about pretty much everything. And when we pointed out one lie, she decided not to admit it and to instead make up a more elaborate lie to try back it up.
bleeeeeeeeh
EDIT: removed crappy poem

Yeah, don't bother with Airy. I think she deleted her account anyway. To be honest, I didn't like the poem much. It didn't have a steady flow or rhyme scheme, and I found some spelling errors. :p The theme is also a little cliche, but to point that out wholeheartedly would be hipocrisy. Imagenation > Imagination Kareening > Careening You're an excellent writer, but you don't need to show us EVERYTHING. Scraps is cool.

imma rewrite everything i said here... sorry about my previous lapse in sanity XD Rewrite: i am always amazed the with the stuff you write... idk why... i guess i always wanted to be a poet of sorts i love the drawing you made of the boy. one of the things that stood out to me is that you did it in pen (so i think). So that means you prolly draw like that all the time. ou have your own style and rhythm down. all i have is those pacman comics i make ^.^ i liked that last poem on here too it's a bit cliche like relym said but i like it i kinda wish i knew what you were like in real life... sometimes i kinda see your poetry as a sort of window to seeing you in real life

I think she draws it in pencil and then inks it with a pen afterwards.

I have had awful awful writers block since forever and beyond. But I'm gonna try to churn something out. I think it's dreadful but maybe someone can help or something.
Drop the banter; tiger tiger, the reining King in spikes and leather like a Wild Wolf tugging on a tether Howling at the sky.
Hold me close, or pin me down like a butterfly on a velvet board and I'll bow to you, my feral Lord, as a willow in the wind.
And will you love me? Will you hold me frozen in those fantastic eyes, a rabbit trapped by surprise, by the fire in your gaze.
This is all I have so far. I'm not satisfied, but I thought maybe I could get a little help with it.

I think Scraps works; kinda the waif with a peg leg...but with a twist. Question about the leg though; is it just heavy and clunky (sort of like the metal leg Nikopol was given in Immortal), or is it a leg that's the wrong size because it was meant for someone else and is somewhat out-dated and doesn't hold a charge well? ...kinda like my mobile As for the help, I think it's dreadful but maybe someone can help or something , I assume were not talking along the lines of, "Don't do it!!!" I'll guess the writer's block? Sometimes I just start jotting bits down (like doodling...but with words), playing with synonyms, and just randomly rhyming, but without trying to really make them do anything. Usually, lines and even ideas just sort of come out of that, poems and others bits developing on their own. Actually, most of my projects seem to take on a life of their own...but those are usually the best. Works for blocks with drawing too; I'll take just 3 minutes or so and start doodling a bunch of random faces/expressions, even if they don't really work out, or look lousy and silly. It's usually enough to knock the wall down, at least enough for a bit of flow with other projects. Sometimes when even that doesn't work, I just need to feed the sludge in the back of my mind (music, films, books, finding other people to talk with--older folks have the best stories to tell), giving it a couple to a few days to run amok and do whatever our subconscious does back there, before creeping back out on its own. Then I just have to go along with it...because at that point it's just not going to listen to me anymore.
Of course, don't mind me...just a noobie
