A young heart calls
before the waves he stands
banners rising up high
horns blowing to the windy seas

An ocean of chances now beckons me
the last sail now ready to begin
before the shores of our minds
we navigate the waters into our hearts

The bounties of the past are now long forgotten
we pound our shields to call forth the winds
we sing our souls to depart from our shores
to seek our spirits as we grow our finds

One last farewell to our forgotten home
The burning blazes of the past are now broken
as we step into the waters dead ahead
the cool breeze tames the soul
and the hallowed waters awakes the heart

Very nice, though I'm not too sure about the slip from third to first person after the first stanza, though I understand why it was done. I like the sentiment and the story a lot, and you've really done a lot with it. Congratz. Smiley

yeah, im experimenting switching from first person to third, to make the inner feeling of the protagonist to expand to the ones near him, like a big expansing wave, still working on that  Grin
