I didn't learn much at Vancouver Film School's foundation program (1 year program), but I managed to do this for my final project:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O3U1FT69

(around 19 mb)

My directing skills are quite lacking, added to the fact that I couldn't include more scenes as I had no time left. This is part 1 of 3.

I think I did somewhat ok on the animation, from now on I will practice my acting a bit more.

What goes next is the Digital Design program, as I am a bit tired of classical animation and want to do some motion graphics and VFX, after that I may study Game Art at fullsail, but who knows...

I'll make a Demo reel and a website soon, right now I am working on stuff for contests and doing some freelance for a Warner Bros music video which may give me more opportunities.

You guys are the only ones that are able to watch this, as I am not too happy with it and it may not get to Newgrounds or Youtube.

The full .FLA will be available for download when my site is up (with no sounds) for anyone that would like to take a deeper look into it.

If you have any questions about either this project or my experience in VFS, go ahead and post here.

Thanks ! Tongue

aw I really want to see this. Unfortunately 500MB is more download than I have remaining for the month. Any chance you could upload a smaller quicktime?

If you have Quicktime, just export a Quicktime movie. I got a 4GB LotD down to 22MB and still looks great.

Thanks man!

Oh well, consider it like act 1 of 3, the story is long though, it would take like 10 more minutes of animation to actually get to the end.

Just downloaded it, lovely little short.

I like the sort of retro style that you went with, and the choice of sound effects enhanced that.

Good stuff!
