Many of you guys will know him from many of the incredible songs in the samurai champloo soundtrack, i personally think this is a huge blow to the international hiphop community especially because of the quality of what he produced.

According to his wiki, he passed away in a car accident on feb 26th, the same day that japan received a 7.0 earthquake.

To those who done know, the rapper is his partner shing02, Nujabes was the quiet one behind the turntables in the video.

He will be missed. I remember loving the soundtrack to champloo and downloading it, from there it got me into downtempo and in the end allot of awesome related artists. Thanks Nujabes, keep spinning them vinyl's on the great desk in the sky.

Not the biggest champaloo fan but from what i have seen i was aklways blown away by the music. The link you posted above is beautiful. I love that style of music and mixing traditional japanese music with a hip hop beat is awesome imo.

Definitely going to check out this guys stuff. RIP.

I have been a fan for him a few months ago, loves his hip hop, its not like other ones. Noticed this today, I really gonna miss his music. RIP!

On his labels site there is a bunch of testimonials about him on there. Most are in japanese, but a few are in english, incluidng Pase Rock and funky DL.

:O noway, and I just downloaded his discography awhile ago. I was only looking for Samurai Champloo's soundtrack, but it wasn't there :/, atleast I got some other good music by Nujabes to listen to.
