Hey,

I'm a bit of a retard when it comes to video conversion. I'm trying to put together an animation portfolio and I have all these clips with different screen ratios and frame rates and whatnots, but no idea how to stitch it all together without losing any quality. Is there some sort of a simple workaround to this which I've missed?

Thanks in advance!

PS. I'm on a Mac

with so many different ratios and dimensions, you're probably gonna need to use After Effects, Premiere or Final Cut. Make the project dimensions big enough to take the largest, then the smaller ones will have a bit of space around them. It'll just be a matter of importing all your videos, then sequencing them on the timeline.

Varying frame-rates will probably cause you problems, but if your project is (for example) 30fps, then you could import a 24fps video and, depending what program you use, it can figure out how to match that frame rate to make it play smoothly. Not an ideal situation but you might get lucky and things go well. I do know that when you import something into the AfterEffects "bin" (before you put it on the timeline) you can right-click on it and choose Interpret footage. This allows you to change its frame-rate to match that of the project.

I'm not a genius with the intricacies of this stuff though, so I just do what works for me and I seem to get off relatively lightly X)

Good luck!
