I need help finding a college for my project for my AVID class at school. I can't decide though, and I'm trying to find a college with an animation major. suggestions? anyone? I wanna do one within the us. preferably California.

I think FullSail would be a good candidate for you to look into as well. They have a lot of those kinds of programs. Cost of tuition was the thing that drove me off though. You'll have to research a little to see if they're exactly what you're looking for.

Moving this to the Animation section.

If you want California for sure, then I agree with Eye.  Go for Calarts.  I have heard very mixed feelings about Fullsail, and I would advise caution with them.

If you want an education in animation that won't break the bank, then go to another country.  All of the good animation programs in America are extremely expensive, without exception.

You may also want to consider Animation Mentor, or giving a parcel of money to an experienced animator to be a private tutor.  Seriously, you'd probably get more of your money's worth with the right person.  This industry is very lenient with degrees, and as long as you can do the work they don't really give a darn if you've done college.
