So this is kind of a finished piece -- sketch thing I guess.  Please feel free to give any advice you could.  I'll post the drawings/sketches and give a quick synapses on what I was thinking... If anything it should be entertaining right?  Enjoy

This was for a contest...its some little chicken lizard thing.  I call him chicken little.

This was the first real drawing I did on my tablet. I'm happy with how it turned out though I could have centered it a little better.

Me and a friend had a little talk and we talked about drawing what brings Paralyzing fear to us, Mine...spiders.  So I did this and it creeped me out.  I was trying to bring depth using well...using black really.

I don't know what to say about this one...just a time killer before I had to go to work

This is Malphas, I got the idea from watching a show on TV, Paranormal state, Or investigation...or something like that.  Anyway They went to this house where some Woman was haunted by voices and the "Demon" said it was Malphas.  I did a little research and well, this is what I came up with...which turned into a personal project that’s sort of spun off into some thing else....that seems impossible to finish

And this is the most current piece I’ve...sort of finished...for now anyway.

Well that's it for now, hope you like or have pointers and what not...or it poked you to creativity and new ideas.

I had a quick look there.

Some nice stuff. Just going to post a few immediate thoughts, (im in work and trying not to get caught not working lol)

Anyway, i would say to try and improve yourline quality a bit. You outlines are quite "hairy" and sketchy, so a more defined and smoother outline would help.

Also push your contrasts a little more. Make a definite difference between bright and dark areas. Some of your pieces seem a little flat as your shadows are pale gray and bleds to much with your highlights. Don't be afriad to push your dark and light areas. It adds more depth and realism.

I really like your first piece, its imaginitive and has an airbrush feel about it.

I'm sure others will post better critiques but theres a few for now.

Good first post into this section though. Keep up the good work and we will see you improve rapidly!! Smiley

(I should so pick up my pencil again and get drawing...why does life keep getting in the way...)

Welcome to BW too Wink

Thank you for the advice.  Yeah it's a lot harder for me to draw on a tablet than a piece of paper...the surface is just way to slick and soft, I like the bite of paper more. another bad habit I do is when I’m in the middle of something I forget about contour and shape or I get scared about putting "To much" shadow in....maybe I’m over thinking it more than I need to lol.  And thanks for the welcome

I totally know what you mean. I had the exact same opinion when I bought my tablet. The combination of graphite and paper texture is needed lol.

But you eventually get used to it. Practice long sweeping strokes to get used to the feel. Don't get me wrong, your stuff is good and quite imaginative. You will fit in well here Wink

well I was going to Mod the old pics and add more but ehh this is easier.

Well I like venom, he's one of many supervillans I like so I tried a little mock up sketch awhile back, Pic is about oh I would say 7 months old from todays post...If I had to give a frame

Most recent sketch, 9x12 unfinished.

That's all I’ve really done with the little time I do have. Figue that If I work with the ink it might break my fear of darks and lights

You've got some pretty fun work here. I can see some of these as tattoo designs.

So the Skinny on this...It's deadpool, Traditional drawing...sorta

-Done with a crow quill
-Detailing done with a .001, .03 and .05 pen
-Speckling/Stippling done Via gimp for added texture
-The thing that has me the MOST amped about this is I have finally figured out how I want to sign my pictures...Only took me a good 15 years to figure it out HAH!...

This was just a random little ditty I had a boat load of fun drawing this and editing it up
-Little disclaimer here, I can't say for a fact this is how you would write Apple fart in Japanese...Given this was a online translator and all.
