I'm still learning how to animate, so nothing from that yet, but I did draw something today. Smiley

It's a butterfly done in colored pencil(butterfly), watercolor pencil(background) and acrylic paint(wing spots).
on a 2.5" x 3.5" bristol card.

I don't have any animations yet, but I have ideas. I also have Flash and Toon Boom - so, we'll see what happens with that.

Great looking butterfly. Ok so checkt his out. Use your pencil or your pastels ... whatever it is your using and then take the red right and put it in the air and around the room find something that has the same value as that red. This may be tricky to understand but think in black and white. Something in that room will make the red stand out like red on white and something will make that red almost blend perfectly in your room. Then take a blue or a teal and make sure it blends the same as that red. Make sure its the same value. Then give little marks of that blue in the red. It will still look like Red but it will have more colors in the red and give it a really really cool color theory effect. Cheesy! Hope that helps for further stuff.

Thanks Smiley

Ok, so let me try and work out what you're trying to say haha

Take the red and find a different color that is the same value. Then find a blue color that is also the same value as the red. Make little marks in the red. Is that right?

Ok, so does it matter if it's complimentary colors or analogous colors?
Right now, it's reds, oranges and yellows.
Opposites would be greens, blues and purples.

That's interesting. I'll have to try that. Smiley
I've only heard of adding opposites when you want to make shadowing - which is what I should have done in the shadow of the wing.

I mean the rules are made to be broken. Its just a thing that ya know on first sight you will look and go wow red. But after you examin it for a bit you go woaaaa thats like more then just red theres little blues in there and oh i see purples but there the same value so my eye is just picking up the overall red.
