My foot: apply directly to your forehead!

« on: November 04, 2010, 02:25:26 PM »

The VERY suckish poem...I like writing, but I SUCK at poems.

Night
A darkness that embraces the land
Blocks out the sun
Chills the soul.
Soon it gets darker, colder, sinister.
Then a ray of light pierces the blackness.
The darkness melts away in twilight, and soon enough
The sun rises, warming all that darkness has touched.
The light sweeps across the land,
the day has come.

The good poems. A friend of mine wrote these, one is actually directed at me.

Universe 5:

What is this a magic place
Blooming with precious grace?
Take me there
Let it be, arguing
But I know you could see
What this world really needs

I grew one with her
Embracing every clouded sky
She offered me so much
Tender forests, all alive
Solid earth to my touch

Gentle skies painted gracefully
Waterfalls deeply print my dreams
This world was only made simple
But falling apart at the seams

My world was falling, crying
Only I could hear her voice
Screaming silently across the land
I knew there was no other choice

I couldn't demolish my thoughts
This world of fantasy
Was my only way of bliss
I raised my head
Every star, a kiss

Scattered across the sky
The stars would fall
Replaced as tears
This world, she bawled

I let her down
My body woke
This new world
"Was fake," I spoke

---------------

For a friend:

Leave me to agonize
Please don't you crucify
I've been through the pain
So much of the pain

I know how it feels to hurt
Being thrown and dragged in the dirt
Miles on miles of crude torture
Darkness lies beyond me future

I've been crying
For half of my life
But when I am smiling
My smile is bleak

I don't need this
I just need you
But when I reached out
Your image flew

When I couldn't turn to anyone
My mirrored image was my friend
But look what I've become
This isn't what I need

Help me
Save me
Blind me
Release me

Give me what my heart has needed
Help the pain and stop the bleeding
I'm tired of the light deceiving
Help my pain and stop the bleeding

Honestly, my friend is alot better than me. Most of what I write is about nature, most of what she writes is about emotion.

You make it sound like the two are separate.

Hmm...you're right, when you really think about it they're not so separate.
