Shadow Walk

Light steps going further into the moor
looking for someone who isnt there anymore
the dead grass beneath my feet welcomes my presence
as i keep track to finally reach her essence

The hope of a lost venture weights my heart
made into shards which pierce and bleeds whats left of my kindness
for i have searched wide and far
for that one who can take away my sadness

Here i stand in the moor
but no more company than the shadow of my heart
with a silenced cry i reach my futility
to shine away from this dead moor
as i find that this is where monsters dwell
and as the more i reach out for the stars
the closer i got to my true home
the death moors where the shadows dwell
