I've just wrapped up my first big project! Sure, there are some things I would like to have done differently, but I'm pleased with my first attempt.

The animation is set to an excerpt of the Firebird ballet by Igor Stravinsky, performed by the London Symphony. I should mention that the scene here has no relation to any part of the ballet, so as not to confuse anyone.

Amazing work. I'm a huge fan of animations that are paired with music, and you did excellently with your interpretation.

As TheEYE said, the backgrounds were great, possibly the best part. The painterly style was nice.

My main criticism would have to be the smoothness of some of the animation. There were sudden changes in motion that felt jerky - two examples would be the bird resting on the tree after escaping the first arrow and the last camera pan. Also, the man seemed a bit weightless at points. I've got to say, though, my favorite animation part be far was the part where the bird was struck by the arrow. The shudder and the droplets of blood were perfect.

The silhouette in the fire was pretty neat, as well.

If this is your first major work, I hope to see more from you in the future!

Ooh, this is pretty nice.

The backgrounds might be the best part, as others have noted. I think the style of the characters is interesting, but the birds meshed with the style of the background more than the man did. Also, the man's movements and the way he was drawn seemed a bit too dainty for his character as a hunter.

The choreography was neat!
