Has anyone besides myself taken notice of this artist? He's a very good draftsman and his illustrations for his books about faeries and goblins are just fun- I've got a couple ordered that will be here in a few days. Even if you haven't heard of him, you probably have been exposed to his work if you've seen The Dark Crystal or Labyrinth, where he guided the general aesthetic of Jim Henson's darker worlds. (His wife designed Yoda, which is also pretty cool.) Anyway, I just wanted to bring some attention to this wonderful artist.

I was introduced to him through "Labyrinth" & "The Dark Crystal"
I'm absolutely in love with his style - beautiful work.  Grin

I just mean that the drawings have the qualities of a linedrawing and a painting balanced out very nicely.

Brian is not only talented, but is one of the nicest & most genuine artists I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. I’ve spent more time at the sculpting workshops his wife, Wendy, teaches and she’s always full of helpful suggestions, as well. They would fit in well in this community.  Grin
Try to track down an old copy of “Are All the Giants Dead?” Brian did the illustrations for that back in the 70’s, and they’re brilliant.
