I've already pledged. I know this is a forum mostly populated by the younger crowd, so I'll say this: Every little bit counts. Even just a few dollars will help the project over the finish line. It's important to support your fellow artists. If you don't feel like you can contribute monetarily, spread the word! If you belong to another forum, repost the link to kickstarter there. I know Adam appreciates it.  |

so true Shayne! Yay we're (almost) 105% now. I'm going to release a new reward and another YouTube video that hopefully will get another spike in pledges. So how does this benefit whoever runs kickstarter? Do they get a commission or is it totally commission free, charity almost?
Yeah Kickstarter gets 5% and Amazon gets 5% (cos it goes through Amazon Payments). So ideally we just make as much money as possible so the 10% commission seems insignificant by comparison. It can be a lot of money, but considering the alternative is $0, I'm not complaining! Case in point: THESE GUYS made almost a million dollars, when they only wanted $15k |
