Hey Everyone,

I was contacted by an associate of one of the Ministry groups I've done quite a bit of work for, requesting a favour with the art for a new album. Completely different territory for me & the turnaround time was incredibly short, but this is what I came up. I know it's very stylised & the lighting isn't perfect, but then I've seen published professional paintings with missing fingers and shadow limbs from changing poses. I do wish I would have been given more time to polish the lighting & textures. At any rate, I'd appreciate any thoughts. Wink

The front cover, where he wanted a tree showing the various fruits of creation, such as fish & birds:

The inside minus the credits on the top half & the statement of thanks & impending legal doom on the lower half:

The back minus the list of songs & additional legal doom:

Another concept he wanted to try & then decided against:

He actually changed his mind on the front cover concept halfway through the time frame; different image with children running through a garden of similar design which would have been nice to finish.
Well, that's all for now. I have some new ideas (to add to the personal projects I've been unable to complete the last few months) this gave me & a couple things I want to improve my skills at, but then that's something that never ends, eh? Grin

That which you have seen can never be unseen.

I actually really like it man. I don't see too much wrong with it.... the middle of the cover is pretty bright. (The yellows and clouds.) It really draws the eye into the background, you may want to tone that down a bit.
Otherwise.... nice!  Bigfoot

Thanks for the input; it's really appreciated!

Yeah, I noticed the sky in the background after a couple of days of staying away from it. He received what he requested though, and he's really happy with it, even if I'll pick it to pieces like everything I do. Other than that and a couple of obvious shadows we were too rushed to properly take care of, I'm fairly happy with it (and the files have been sent, so it's too late to worry anyway).

My next task is taking a handwritten family tree (sixteen sheets!) with illustrations an older gentleman & a distant cousin put together and assemble them together in such a way that it's all visible in a somewhat compact display space (rather than stretched out horizontally along a wall & around the corner  Grin).

He looks like ice cube. And I like the fish.

A little, I guess, but shorter.  Grin In all seriousness, he was a decent fellow to work for.

And thanks! I'm running with some new ideas based on those fish.
