No, the forum isn't starting anew.. the site however is being upgraded. During the data migration process, the entire site is copied from (old) server A to (new) server B.
Throughout this migration process, we continue to use server A. When the transfer is complete, we flip the switch and start using the server B.
The migration is happening right now, so anything you post is going onto server A. As such it may not show up when server B comes online.
That was the long way of saying that anything you post now could possibly disappear after the migration is done.

I don't like change. It's the technology under the hood that's changing. The forum will look the same, behave the same and probably even load at the same speed. The difference is that it'll be running on modern server technology instead of something from 2003. It also means we'll easier be able to handle traffic spikes, it'll be more intuitive to manage upgrades and new software installs and best of all, more security features to combat spam and hacks. I'm not that resistant to change, t'was but a mild jest. ^^ If I were, I'd probably have jumped under a train looking back on the last year. XD But better security and easier management all sound like awesome reasons. And it probably is time for an update. :3

PS: Stop quoting posts that are directly above you if possible. If you're referring to a comment made several posts ago that is acceptable. Otherwise most people can hazard a reasonable guess as to what you're referring to. I know this is a petty gripe but for some reason it grates on me none the less.
