I would rather be with trees

Anyone who watches this, comments on it here or on Youtube is my hero. I'm kinda proud of it, even though it has no point. I might newgrounds it for a SWF version/better quality.... we will see.

Hallucinaliens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H0gb0lG2E0

Description from Youtube:
A Groople Paxicle alien is wandering along when he happens upon a Yitney fruit, a highly hallucinogenic plant that can walk. The Groople is stupid and eats the fruit, which sends him on a dangerous trip. Everything round turns into a Yitney, and he eats all the round things he sees.
A squirrel uses the Groople's impairment to send him off a cliff, and he ends up in the belly of a giant Grudler. The Grudler is then sent on a trip in which reality and fantasy are a complete blur....

This was made on a whim because I was bored with one project and started doing this. Then, I found out I needed to earn independent study credit so I went all out with this so I could turn it in for my final project at the University of Utah. No storyboard, just train of thought.... not sure it goes anywhere.

Christian that was really great man!

I'm really curious on how you went about doing the 3/4 view moving background after that creature fell off the cliff entering that furry creatures mouth.

It looks 3d.... Would you mind explaining how that shot was done?

Can't wait to see more from you  Wink

The 3D part was done in Maya using toon shader features, exported, compiled into a Quicktime and embedded into the SWF. Thanks for the comments, glad you guys liked it. It's now my first Newgrounds sub, one of the few Flashes I've made that functions fairly well in SWF format. If you've got a minute, please vote for it over there:

Thanks again for watching.

Very nice indeed. I loved the sound effects a lot. Especially the eating sound fx. I liked the colour scheme too. Smiley

WOW, that was really, really great. I LOVED all the animation and the colours, specifically that final scene where the landscape was 3d. I think the funniest part was when he ate the fish's eye, haha. Really enjoyed this.
