I think there should be contests, like on this one forum I went to once before. I joined the contest mainly because of the ideas and the practice. There were like:

Animate:
  • leaf flying through the wind.
  • water splash effect

or drawing too like; western themes or perspective stuff etc.

It's real fun and a good practice. But, I don't think this forum is active enough for that to be honest.

well i noticed they have drawing compotitions in the other area but no animation ones. there is one going on but its a un official one here in comps and activities.
ill do that one for practice.

there hasn't been much participation in the other competitions since back in the last forum... the illustrated activity series died out sadly due to lack of participation and before i recall there were quite a number of animation competitions. i recall a christmas animation.  anyway you can pm one of the mods about getting one started.  I'd like to see one started actually they do take a hell of a lot more time than the wda's .

Lack of participation and a lot of the senior members being very busy and occupied made things die down a lot.  would be cool to get a competition going tho especially if there's a separate thread for it... might as well put it to some use.
