Children of God

As if one RP wasn't enough i'm here starting another one. I was on another website and the way they did RPs was worth improving upon. But first the idea!

Think about it, God created the Earth (if you didn't know) and then he created Man. But before Man, God had another child, the Seraphim. These divine angels served God and in return shared his kingdom of heaven. But eventually Lucifer, the most beloved of the Seraphim, betrayed God and a bloody civil war raged in the sky. Eventually Satin was defeated and him and his bretheren were banished into the pits of Hell. But what about those Angels who stood beside God? The idea of the battle between heaven and Hell is a well established one, but all too often it is depicted as simply "good" versus "evil". Does a Seraphim not have faith? Does a daemon not have painful memories, an integrity with which to serve his conscience. And what of Man, does God's love of them (us) not test the faith of an angel, does it not anger the fallen? This RP is all about morality, faith and integrity. Players take the role of one of the Seraphim (there is a reason no one will be allowed to start as a daemon) and see if their faith can stand the test of time. The Rp goes through the these ages:

Tribal - Humanity is nothing but small tribes, easily swayed into false worship
Ancient civilisation - Religion has been founded and war is still young, but do the monsters of myth really exist?
medieval - Faith, the crusades demand it. Those without it will burn in the fires of damnation
napoleonic - Technology challanges God's rule, will you?
American Civil War - American VS American, remind you of the olden days?
World War I - The world turns red
World War II - Proves that the sins of the past are destined to be repeated
Cold War - The power of Man threatens God's kingdom
Present Day - Has anything changed?

Here are the rules:

1: You do not decide the result of your actions, you decide your action, but I, the Game Master (but you can call me God) decide the result, for example:

"Give me the purse lady!" James kicks the old lady in the face, causing her to fall over the edge of the cliff. He sighs and picks up her purse.

Would become: "Give me the purse lady!" James attemts to kick the old lady in the face (you can use bold or a different colour)

Then I could write: James' leg swings up, but the old lady grabs him and hurtles him over the cliff edge (don't worry, he's OK)

I also control all NPCs, poor them

2: This RP is about choices and the consequences of them. You are trusted to make whatever choice your character would and live with the consequences (there will ALWAYS be consequences). Don't come crying to me because you didn't get the result you were "going for"

3: You will spend your time in Heaven (think of it as a Hub), where you will soar in the sky and watch over mankind etc. Every now and then i will create an Event (an incident on Earth) that you can react to if you wish. Within the Event each character will face choices and players will work together (or agianst each other) to achieve each persons desired goal. You can go to earth when you want, anywhere you want. there is also Purgatory and of course Hell, but you might want to be careful about being rash, defeat is possible and it can be pritty nasty..

4: When you are on Earth you will disguise yourself (your ability to disguise yourself improves in time) and appear as a human. You can choose not to disguise yourself, but God doesn't like that. The more time you spend on Earth the more human you become (you may begin to enjoy human luxuries). You can also create you own territory or place to stay. You can take residence in a mansion or join a gypsy caravan. You decide what kind of angel you want to be and form your morales (beliefs) as you react to Events

6: Like the other RP (which is still running and begging for more players) PM me with your character ideas. Use this template:

Seraphim name/human name - example: Amandiel/Armand Konstantin
Gender - male or female. Don't get confused
Quality/trait - nurture, wisdom, guardian, messanger, etc. The bases of your character. Seraphim are not as complex as humans, they represent an extreme role or feeling that controls their behaviour. You are not "good" or "bad" or "human-like" you are your trait, your actions develop your character's personality
Belief - What your angel believes after the war against Lucifer

5: You're an angel, remember that and act like you've got a pair! Oh and try your best to enjoy yourself, for me rolleyes
