I've always had an obsession with clouds of all types, so I figure this is a good opportunity to post some of my photos. All of these were taken from my back yard on different days.

^ this was amazing.. I've never seen this type of cloud cover with such intricate detail. It gave the impression of looking at them from hundreds of miles away, as if from space. The following three photos are telephoto closeups of this same sky.

^ I love the inner glow of a cumulus in shadow. Note the shadow beams through the air  argh!

These photos are perfect examples of deep dark foreground clouds, despite being in the middle of the day with brilliant blue sky and white clouds in the background. It's what I was trying to achieve in my sketchbook thread with the Bitey picture. I'm glad I got these particular photos for those who didn't believe me Tongue

^See the tiny distant cumulus at the very bottom of this image? I zoomed way in to get the following shot:

Storm this afternoon:

These are all from a few months back, all taken from around the house.
I should really take some from the industrial area, there are lots of open spaces so the horizon is less cluttered with buildings.

I felt like sharing some of my own.

^Heart shaped, this is not photoshop btw.

And these, I loved the tone in the color hence why I took pictures of them (:

^flying fish? lol.

^This one wasn't supposed to be a cloud shot but I realized after taking the picture that there is no other clouds in the picture. And that made it interesting to me.

^Many would say that this one is plain and boring. But I disagree. I find it very warm with the very blue sky and it makes it really clean.

^And this one was just taken for fun (: My friend looks so badass with those clouds in the background.

Taken over the last couple of days (September 2008) around my house.
This is one of those post or pre-storm sunset moments where sunlight reflected from the overhead cloud saturates everything with deep orange light. This kind of light usually only lasts a minute or two before the sun drops over the horizon. It's always a fantastic spectacle with trees and other greenery glowing with this rare alien light.

This one is the formation of mammatus earlier today. A storm was starting to blow in as you can see from the wind in the trees.
It's so monochrome but these pics are straight off the camera.. no colour tweaking at all.

I have never seen anything like the clouds above, with the rosy hue.  Pure nature at its best.  Bingbong
