Photography and Audio were added to the Brackenwood forums because people suggested them. Now, while we don't automatically add forums for every single suggestion (we go through a whole process of discussion, approval, etc in the Mod/Admin forum), we will consider all legitimate requests, especially if there's a number of people interested. Bear in mind that most forums here have to do with learning and teaching a particular artistic skill, such as animation, illustration, music, writing, programming and photography. Your suggestion should be something that will benefit the community and possibly encourage non-members to join up. In other words, a 'we love dogs' forum or Bionicle fan forums aren't gonna happen Feel free to make your suggestions by posting in this thread.

sounds good. mr.nurbs had Swiftville on the old forum where he helped people out with Swift3D and there were some other 3D app threads and subforums so a dedicated section here would probably get some use

I believe a wise forum would be some sort of reference section. (If there already is one than just ignore what's written below)
What I mean is a forum for reference pictures, videos, or whatever that someone may need for a project they may be working on but can't manage to find what they need. They address all the fellow forumers by saying "I need as many pictures of a lightly colored twisted looking tree to refer to for a project. I also need the same tree to be in daytime and another picture at night for a shadow comparison and lighting effect shot" Then everyone who happens to have the pictures necessary would post them. Also with this we would keep a bit more organized and not have threads that are out of place when someone needs a reference. This forum subject would also teach newcomers that it's important to study things before drawing/painting or animating them because when you do something without the research you can very easily end up with crap. The forum could easily be organized by what kind of reference material the person may need (Mechanical, Natural, people, etc.)
Just a thought ^_^

It seems we have a category for all arts except dancing. Idk if we have any dancers, but it's just a thought.

What about some sort of shopping center sub-forum, where we help each other with shopping for the perfect equipment, software/hardware, etc.etc. Some people (myself included) don't know all the great hotspots for buying the best stuff. Otherwise some of us just miss out on the good stuff. Just another Thought

I like that idea. I'm a bboy (breakdancer) and i would probably post some videos showing off Some of these subforum ideas usually die off due to lack of interest so an all round topic called "stuff you do" or something along the lines could be acatch all for obscure ideas?

Jewelry/clothing/card crafts? Textiles? Printmaking? Graphic Design? I agree with Pickapok, photo manipulation is a good one too, it could possibly go hand-in-hand with Photography...
Is that too many suggestions? ^^; Most of those are subjects I did in an art course in college.

I totally agree with this I also model the 3Dness I use Blender (which is free) so it could also attract artists who thought that the medium might be too costly. Great Idea!

Feel free to start stuff like 3D/dancing/shopping/etc threads. I'll sticky them if you want. If they get really active we might consider a subforum.
