UPDATE - please check your bloody postcount before asking me to update you. I'm losing count of how many people are asking me to update their info several days after I've already done it. You're obviously not even looking at your postcount, so why do you need it updated? sheesh.

and now for the original post:

I've been manually updating people's post-counts and join dates as they register here, but here's something that'll make it easier and quicker for me.
If you have more than 5 posts on the old forum, please PM me with:
  • your original username
  • your old post count
  • your original join date

Important note: If I don't know who you are, you need to prove to me that you are who you say you are. To do this:
  • Post a message on the old forum using your old login. HERE is the thread.
  • Include a link to that post when you PM me (see above list)

This is so I can verify your identity by your IP address.

Seems like rather a lot of unnecessary work for you, i mean come on, does anybody seriously give a crap about that stuff? you should just employ a system wherby the ones who are really desperate to get their old details put back on pm u, and the rest of us can just roll with it

It's only fair, especially considering that this forum has post count rewards (such as access to the Back Room). The community isn't starting over.. we're continuing from where we left off and I'm happy to do it Smiley

yeah I was updating when I saw your registration come in.
Can you resize your avatar pls man? something under 100x100

*edit: Nevermind. I saw potential for avatar size abuse and knocked it back to the old 65x65 limit

Oh oops. I thought the "profile picture" was like the one back on Invision free, in that it only shows up in the profile. My fault, sure man I'll change it. Can it be a bit bigger than 100x100 (like 120x120) or are you trying to keep the sizes down for easy navigation so the forum isn't so clustered?

EDIT: Actually the thumbnail size provided on Imageshack is 150x112. Is that ok, Adam?

EDIT again: Ah, I see you have put up a 100x100 limitation. Now I look squished! You made me look fat! >:C    XD

heheh sorry man. Yeah I set it back to 65x65. MotMs, Mods and AssistantAdmin have a limit of 104x104.
You might need to adjust your avatar in photoshop or something so that it's exactly 65x65, to prevent the squash/stretch.

I resized it to like 48x65 or something and it came out all pixely. Now I have it to about 65x84 and it is smushed again. Urgh.

put it in photoshop and add a black band on either side so that the image is perfectly square, but your portrait stays unaltered.

e.g. if your portrait is 100 high and 60 wide, you need to add 40 to the width (a strip of 20 each side) to make it 100x100 square. The forum will resize it to 65x65 without stretching it then.
