Some more paintings:

This one's a WIP:

If someone could give me some pointers about colour in real-paint mediums I'd be very grateful. I'm finding out slowly that it's quite a bit different than when working in digital. Learned that the hard way when trying to mix a kind of orange-blue sky... surprise surprise, I got a dull grey out of that attempt. I guess it's just a lot harder to notice something like this when working digital.

I like how that one lonely tree is there. It looks sweet!  Grin

1 year+ since my last post here... I wish I had more to show after this long absence, but sadly I haven't exactly been busy. Still, here's something:

My portfolio that I sent in with an application to an art school recently (still waiting for an answer):

It contains some life drawing from the past year:

As well as some cartoony stuff:

Plus a little bit of colour (the following are done in Photoshop)
An attempt at creating a complete image, thinking about composition and colours and all that... could be happier with it:

Had a lot of fun with these, just experimenting with different colour schemes:

I also did some pictures for my dad's crossword puzzles:

Hmm, not quite as light weight a post as I though, but it's not as much stuff as I'd like to be showing off after a year's absence. Anyway, that's all for now.
