Ah, what lovely memories. Who doesn't look at this and NOT feel sorry for fatsack? I love how, due to a special lens, the mountains are in focus Grin

Talk to the Wachowski Brothers. I didn't see Speed Racer, but I heard that one of the things they did was use a special lens that made everything in focus, as to make the movie look more like a cartoon.

It's probably expensive as hell, though.

Actually I'm not sure that would be expensive at all.. a few years ago I went to a telescope/binoculars shop and the dude brought out some binoculars for me to try. They didn't have a focus wheel because everything was in focus. No idea how it works but it was awesome and not too expensive. As I recall I think they were about 1.5 times the price of normal binoculars.

Well then there you have it.

Except, this is the film industry, where normal cameras are a bitch and a half to afford. I'm sure they're going to jack up the price after they've seen how successful movies like Speed Racer can be. But if you do find a camera like that for cheap, more power to ya.

E'>  <-- Thumbs up.

Found a page that offers some details. Apparently they layer the films together, but Susan Sarandon is terrible at explaining it. Such technical terminology there, Sue.
I still don't know what the camera product line is or who the manufacture is, but from the article, I'm starting to think that it's more of an intricate technique rather than a specific camera.

I'm assuming since the forum transfer didn't include the motm wallpaper packs that got distributed a while ago. So I don't know where to post any of that stuff 'cept here.

Years old, but still applicable.

1280x1024

1280x1024

You're gonna have to dig through the old forum for the wallpaper packs if you want the 1600x1280 sizes. Godspeed.

I really like these. I hope that you do some more.
