Recently, I had switched over to using deviantART to host my stuff instead of Photobucket. The lack of quality and the fact that they shrink down images made me have enough of it.
Now, just as a heads-up, I've actually improved since I last submitted stuff to the previous Brackenwood forums. But I still
highly encourage any and all criticism. ^^
So, here we go. Hope my stuff doesn't take up too much room. (Most admins get pissy about table-breaking. I'll reduce it to links if requested.)
Here's what I call "Battle-Ready Shenorai Eterna", done in watercolors. It's just a pose of my main role-playing character. I realize the weapons look like shit, but I was working out of a 4 x 5 1/2 inch notebook at the time. Hopefully, since I found a book on a visual history of weaponry, future weapons I draw won't look like what it does below.
This is a concept for a priestess of sorts that I'm working on. Also done in watercolors. Since this isn't the final design, it's bound to change.
A friend of mine requested me to draw a fairy frog for her. Wearing a beret. For the moment, the colored version is tattooed onto her back. Yes, my signature is still in there. You just need a careful eye to spot it.
This dragon is purple. And watercolor as well. I have a book called "DragonArt: How To Draw Fantastic Dragons and Fantasy Creatures". Not only is the book very helpful when drawing dragons, but it also helped me understand how to construct feathered wings and how fur should look.
Another friend of mine wanted me to draw out his alchemist character. Although, I haven't gotten around to finishing this, honestly. It still remains uncolored as of today.
Now...I have been working on a manga series featuring ol' Shenny up there. It will be based off of the last four years of role-playing that I had put her through. So her story is already set and engraved in my mind. The only thing left is to construct the pictures to put to the words and actions. I found it much easier to just have everything done on Photoshop.
However.
I do not own a tablet. My main tool is my mouse. So until I own a tablet, the quality of the comics will be...well...iffy.
Still. Feel free to criticize these, too. Since I am still currently working on this series, it'll need all the criticism it can get. o.o Though right off the bat; I'm aware that i have the colors on the guards' tunics upside-down. I realized that as soon as I uploaded it. But since there are countries that have the tendency to flip their flags upside-down when they are at war or peace, I decided to just leave it at that.
Shenorai will not be appearing until Page 5. Which is currently in-progress. So bear with me.
