NICE!
I like the Inverse kinematics tools! sweet.
Flash is quickly becoming the most accessible tool for internet games that port over to the DS or XBOX live arcade! Therre are tons of flash gaming sites now, and some of the games are pure genius that would easily work on the DS!
Go Flash!

Oh yeah. I read somewhere a few days ago that Flash is installed on 99% of PCs out there. Adobe FTW.
And a rofl at Silverlight.

Yay! I got it! The default setup is kinda strange.. You have nothing useful there, really, so you'll have to customize it yourself or select some other preset. After playing around with it I gotta say, I have mixed feelings about CS4. The 3D and Kinematics tools are very cool although they don't work with AS2 .fla's. I still didn't figure out the Motion Editor or the Deco tool, but I'll get to it. What pisses me off is the new Help. The damn thing is online, and it sucks HARD. I couldn't even find documentation for something basic like createEmptyMovieClip... So I went back to Flash and typed the command in the code window, selected it and hit F1. Then I got to see some documentation.. Like, seriously... If I'm looking for help with something, I expect to get it without knowing exactly what I'm looking for. Also it seems you have to filter the results each time.. I'd search for something, and get a bunch of community forums crap about it, so I'd set some filters. But then I searched for something else (from Flash, not the help site), I had to filter it again. This is ridiculous! I have to filter the results every time I search for something? After filtering the results are much better but it's still annoying as hell to filter it every single time. You can download a PDF but that doesn't help me. I want some SOFTWARE, like MSDN (only one that actually finds stuff) with documentation. Not community sites. And the fact that it's online means I can't get any help at all if I'm on a laptop without an internet connection. What were they thinking? -_- I'm kinda disappointed with CS4.. I got some work to do (which happens to be in Flash), so maybe I'll get used/learn how to use the new stuff better. I'll let you know how it went

I'm a pirate! Yarrr!! Everything is on the internet before release. EDIT: Links to pirated software is against forum policy.. Please read the board rulesThis isn't a real 3D engine. All it does is skew the MCs (remember Duke Nukem 3D?). So, basically it's a bunch of layered 2D shapes, and if you keep rotating, the "front" will show behind the "sides". With a little scripting though you could make a "real" 3D object (gotta play with the layers). The chain animation took like 10 seconds to make. Imagine doing this manually... Very nice additions indeed!

It's been out since the 15th of October. The one I bought from Adobe arrived the 24th of last month. I've also had mixed feelings about it I hate the new properties panel. If you put it where it was in the last versions, it doesn't rearrange itself to fit. The deco tool doesn't work at all if you have object-level undo. The spray brush doesn't have any pressure sensitivity options, and if you only do one and press undo, the program switches to the selection tool, meaning you have to go click the spray brush tool again just to keep using it. The motion editor is a pain to use. The only way it can get easier to use is if you have a second monitor to devote just to that panel. Also, why do movie clips only get exported properly if I export to Quicktime? Your ineptness at making a functional export feature astounds me, Adobe, what the crap are you doing? [EDIT] Are you sure that was a link to pirated software? The URL looked more like a link to a SWF file hosting site for hosting Flash movies. I couldn't tell, since the site is apparently down. Google seems to indicate it's not a pirating site.

Well, the link just got stuck in mid stream and I couldn't tell what was on the site. If it wasn't a warez site....... my bad.
However flaunting around saying arrr I'm a pirate leads one to speculate.
I know Cels rep to be better than that...

It was actually an SWF with some 3D and kinematic stuff. I know the rules (Btw, saying "I'm a pirate, yarrr!" doesn't fall in the warez category.. It's not like a posted a link to the thing)
